Best Chicken, Best Rice, Best Salad. Chicken Express is so good. I order the 1/4 chicken with rice. What's amazing about this meal is that each entree in the meal — the rice, the chicken, and the salad are all what I consider the best in town. The Chicken is cooked to perfection on a fire rotiserie and is seasoned just right. The lemon rice is seasoned to perfection and they give you a lot. And the salad and dressing is delicious. I enjoy my rice, and salad mixed together.

I usually pay $7 for this meal with a drink. I prefer this meal over most $10 meals in town.

This place is absolutely the best!!!!!!!!!!!

Consistently good, awesome price!. The food is consitently good. The prices are awesome! It's a great place for lunch on the go. I heard about Chicken Express from multiple people, claiming it's the "best workday lunch place," I have seen the location multiple times, and would have never gone without their recommendation, and now I highly recommend the food to anyone.

Persian street food. Nothing fancy, just tasty eatin'. I'm partial to their chicken kabob. Rice is excellent and the salads surprisingly good. If you haven't tried their potatos, get half rice and half potatoes, they're good too, but the rice is better. The dressing was a bit off my last visit, but it's usually good.

Staff is friendly and helpful, even supplying some sumac on request. And they know the Persian community here having pointed me to some of the Middle Eastern grocers and such in town.

Chicken Salad Lovers Alert. If you haven't had one of their chicken salads you're missing out! The bottom layer is lemon saffron rice covered by lettuce and topped with loads of shredded chicken and an amazing seasoning. Top it with their house dressing and it's the best salad you'll ever get under $5.00. Take time to talk to the owners and employees about their home country. You'll be glad you live safely in Utah.

Blink and you'll miss this little restaurant set amid several other food outlets on busy State Street. Chicken Express, which is independently owned and run, is nothing fancy, but the food's good and it's a bargain. Pick up a menu for a rainy day and you can call ahead and pick your order up at the drive-through window.

The Food
Of course you can also sit down at a formica table inside and sink your teeth into some juicy, marinated rotisserie chicken, pork or beef ribs, or one of the many other items, including a short Greek menu of gyros and kabobs. All entrees come with a salad and pita bread and your choice of rice, potatoes, beans, corn on the cob, or cole slaw. Quite a deal when you consider that a quarter chicken is only $3.65. Family packs of six ribs and a whole chicken runs $16.49.
