Mandarin cuisine for dining in or takeout..
The Scene
China King notes that it specializes in Mandarin cuisine, which is not a specific style of Chinese cooking, but an indication that they offer finer Chinese cuisine. The Mandarins were the high officials and aristocrats of China during the Ching dynasty, who enjoyed the best food and cooking China had to offer. You don't have to dress like an elegant Mandarin to dine at China King, however, as the ambience is relaxed.
The Food
They serve a variety of Chinese-American favorites, some quite authentically Chinese, and you'll always want to ask about the specials. As with many Chinese restaurants, some of the best dishes are not listed on the menu. Also as with many Chinese restaurants, takeout orders are welcome.
