Editorial Review for Miramar – by Robyn Galbos

In Short
Located in a former used-car dealership, Miramar has a funky feel and an interesting layout. A long curved hallway leads you to glass-partitioned dining areas. Music is lively and service is friendly. Expect generous portions of Tex-Mex fare with coastal influences. Tacos Miramar--three fish tacos served with rice and beans--are tasty as are the shrimp fajitas--a large, sizzling platter of shrimp and fresh vegetables with warm tortillas, fresh guacamole, sour cream and beans.

The Extras

If you're not into seafood, the chile verde burritos are a good choice ($6 for two) as are tamales.

it looks like a hole in the wall, but that's where the best food is, right?! And fantastic food it is! I've only been there 2x, but I'll be back! Both times have been delicious! The Chile Verde is amazingly good & the shredded beef tostadas are very flavorful. Don't let the weird facade of the building & location scare you away. You'll be glad you went & you'll be back for more! (I don't like seafood, so even though the specialize in seafood, obviously the rest of their food is great too) I was also impressed with their friendly, customer service.

Pros: good for groups of 10 or so becasue a lot of the tables are large booths. lots of parking

Cons: If you're not into hole in the wall type restaurants, you may want to take hand sanitizer for your own peace of mind. It's not dirty, but it's not squeaky clean either

This is unusual for Salt Lake with the seafood selection. Definaitely not your average Mexican restaurant. I highly recommend this to my friends.

Pros: seafood, baby octopus, spicy
