Terrible customer service!!. We purchased an iphone (3g) and we have tmobile. We found out about Action wireless on the web and thought since it was an established business it would be better to go there instead of to a kid in their basement. The phone was unlocked, but they updated the phone from the 3.1.3 to the new 4.0 and said we could have all the perks and still have the phone unlocked. The phone works but we cannot do anything else with the phone but call and text!! The data will not work, I cannot get on the web or get my emails etc.. I called them and when I told them the problems the only thing they could say is "ya?" Nothing else, no solution, no explanation no "lets bring it in a take a look." I asked why he had nothing to say.. He responded with " you called earlier" HUH!?! No, I did not. I guess I am not the only one having issues. All they could say was there is no guarantee and it's a new program there are going to be issues. If we wanted to go back to the 3.1.3 it would be MORE money.."it's our time" he states. I put my TRUST in them to guide me but I have no choice but to pay to get the phone put back. If that was my business I would have worked something out. He acted as if I was putting him out. I will get it fixed, but I will NOT be giving my money to them and I suggest if your thinking about going there... YOU WERE WARNED by many. I wish I would have read the reviews..

GREAT PLACE FOR A BAD EXPERIENCE. I had broken the glass on my Treo 750 and was having problems with the charging port. I located Action link wireless through the phone book. After speaking with them I was convinced to make the 50 mile trip to get the phone repaired while I was shopping. When I arrived the representative quated me $135 to repair my phone. He then offered me a Treo 680 he had in the back for the same price, He said it was basically the same phone. I accepted and went on my way. Quick fix I thought. As it turned out it wasn't even close to the 750;s capabilitys. For one it was;nt a 3G, secondly it wa not capable of downloading from the internet, and it kept freezing up not allowing apps to run. I tried to reach action by phone several times to no avail. When I did reach them the rep basically called me a liar and for me to bring it back and he would show me I was wrong and the phone would do everything he said it would. I at that point just wanted my 750 repaired in exchange for the 680. Upon arriving there I was informed that they would take the 680 back and repair my 750 for an additional $60. I thought it was alittle much but I said I would meet them half way and pay an additional $30. They wouldn't do agree to that so I left with the 680 that froze completely up and wouldn't work at all. On my way home they called me with a change of heart agreeing to the $30 swap. They agreed to have the 750 repaired by the time I wwoul be able to make the 50 mile trip again, which was one week. So after arriving back there the following week I was told the phone wasn't ready becase the parts were in the boss's truck. So they told me they would mail it to me the end of the next day. Another week went by and I called again and was told that it was ready to go. So after arriving back there just to find out it was almost done. So I waited for two hours for them to finish up with it. Then they asked if I had brought the charger with me because the battery was dead. I hadn't but was reasured the phone was good to go and I could just keep the 680 and use it a a charging port because the port on the 750 was unrepairable. OK now I have two treos, one to use as a battery charger and one to use for buisness. Then for all my trouble they waived the additional fee and I left with a Jerry Rigged setup. I should of seen it comming because when I got home and tried a charged battery in the 750 it would not turn on at all. So now I have two treo's that don't work and they have $135 of my money and a whole lot of my time, travel and frustration. I would't send my worst enemy to action link wireless, or recomend a Treo Palm device..
One star is one too many. My husband pressure broke his screen on his T-Mobile Dash, he really loved his phone and had a lot of info on it so he decided to take it to get repaired at action link wireless. He bought the phone with a $50 memory card. When he picked up his phone, the memory card was gone. This is the perfect scam for them because you can not prove you had one in there in the fist place. All the manager said to us when we asked for it was that "they don't even bother with that part of the phone", so, of course they wouldn't take a free memory card. I would HIGHLY recommend not setting foot in that store, but if you do, take your memory card or any addition to your phone off before you hand it to them.
