I found these guys in a City Weekly
Best Of... edition years ago. They worked on my VW back then and have been super helpful with my Xterra. I took it in with one day to get work done that my other mechanic never got done. (I had a trip I was going on the next day.)
The job took longer than they initially expected, the O2 sensors were not coming off, one that I brought them (I'd already purchased them) was broken, and they were universal, not Xterra specific, so they required a tad more labor to install.
They stayed late and came in early to get the job done so I could leave. It did take longer than I'd hoped, but they still got it done by 11 am the next day and I managed to get on my trip in a timely manner.
They were incredibly nice despite the rush. I felt that they were honest and understanding. I don't know why I ever quit using them. (Maybe it was the lack of needed repairs until recently...) Anyway, the car is going back to them this week because they are amazing!

Outstanding service with integrity. I know when I have a repair issue Milton will do exactly what is required to get things running again - and be reasonable in the charges. Never any wondering if I really got what I paid for! Highly recommend he and his staff.

Milt and crew are great! I've been going there since I moved back to Salt Lake seven years ago. My car is old and my budget sometimes tight, and Milt is really good about telling me what has to be done vs what's a nice to have so that I can pick and choose which issues to address at any given time. The last time I was in, I suggested that maybe my car needed a tune-up, and he looked at my records and told me that it wasn't time yet and he didn't want me to do something that wasn't necessary. Most other places would have been happy to take my money.

Friendly and fair priced sevices. Got my car fixed here when I first moved to SLC and they were upfront with the diagnoses and did not give me the typical run-around to try and hike my bill up. Refreshing! Previously, hated getting my car checked out knowing somehow my bill was going to cost me an arm or leg. Here at Autograff, they fix ONLY what is broken! The give you quality work at fair prices!

One of the best!. I've been taking my cars to Autograff for over six years (my brother for over eight) and they've never disappointed. Their prices are more than fair and their workmanship is top notch. I'm always surprised at how quickly they get my vehicles in and completed. I had them working on an old Camry with 165,000 miles. They replaced timing belt and fixed up the emissions system and had me back on road in just a couple of days.

Best Car Repair Business in SLC!.
Autograff Motor Works is THE BEST for car repair and maintenance. The owner, Milton, is there working, test driving, overseeing every detail. His honesty and expertise are legendary. He really does go the "extra mile." And, he hires like minded people to work with him.
I own a 2007 Honda Civic and an old 1997 Mits Mirage. Over the years, I have taken my cars in for odd noises, regular maintenance and once, for a license plate that would not stay attached to the bumper. One of the odd noises turned out to be a rock that had gotten stuck under the heat shield. It was removed at no charge! The most recent 30,000 service cost a lot less than at the car dealer shops in the days before I found Autograff... and the work is done right and only what work is needed is done!
The work, customer service, prices, and the people, are excellent. My thanks to everyone at Autograff. It really is "signature automotive care." Ann

Honest. A co-worker recommended Autograff three years ago and I've been taking my cars there ever since. Milt is honest and thorough, which is the reason I keep going back. As a woman, I might not understand all the details of car repair, but I can tell when I'm being taken advantage of. The reason I first asked my co-worker to recommend an honest mechanic is because my kid's car was leaking antifreeze. A local tire store recommended replacing the radiator. I took it to Autograff for a second opinion. Milt said it was a $3 plug that needed replacing and told me to keep an eye on it to see if the leak continued. Three years later, the original radiator is still working fine. Thanks Milt!

Expensive and lazy service advisors-some. I had to weait 30 mins for him to give an estimate for repair,even lady was nice on start.Expensive as delaerships.Avoid!!Location is reason why they charge for that much money,so customers are paying property taxes for them.

We at Autograff Motor Works, Inc were saddened to find out you had a unhappy experience when you visited us for an estimate on your 2003 Chevrolet Silverado's 90,000 mile service. Sometimes in life things are not always as they appear. I apologize for the time you had to wait. Our service adviser who helped you during your visit was indeed moving slowly, for at the time he had been back to work only three days after having had been out recovering from spinal cord surgery. As for the price we may not be comparing apples to apples. After you expressed your concern we checked with several dealers in the Salt Lake area and found our estimate to be $300 to $400 less for the same service. We express our gratitude for your review, which gives us an opportunity to reflect and improve upon our services.

Clean, Friendly, Professional. Autograff Motor Works is the best repair shop I have ever used. In fact, I haven't been any where else since I started going to Autograff. Milt and his team are very conscientious. They get the work on my car done when they said it would be done and at the price they said it would be. I have felt very comfortable in recommending Autograff to my friends and family over the years. But, my favorite thing about Autograff is that they don't talk down to me because I'm a women. They give me the details of the needed repair and lay out my options very intelligently and never act like I won't understand it. Last, but not least, they are a very clean shop. You won't have to worry about Autograff getting grease stains on your seats. Thanks, Milt!
