Editorial Review for The Jagged Edge Retreat – by Renee Lowry

In Short
Just a brisk walk down Main Street, downtowners can enjoy a manicure or a haircut in the middle of the workday. The decor is cool--think somewhere between an artist's loft and the Rainforest Café. Loyal clientele tout it as the city's best spot for the latest in hair dyes and nail colors. As for the staff, they're young, but well-trained and able to generate a fun and open atmosphere.

Insider Tips

The staff recommends street parking. Try the stretch between 400 and 500 South--it's usually vacant.

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

I’m in Salt Lake City for a week. This is my first time at the salon. I had strawberry-golden-blonde hair that looked like Stevie Wonder colored it - it was beyond hideous. Chris squeezed me into his crazy schedule, which I cannot thank him enough. He is an excellent seasoned stylist; brilliant with hair color and knows how to match hair color with skin tone. Chris has the Midas touch for hair. The shop boasts a Friendly young staff, cozy atmosphere. It’s not an old lady’s beauty shop, but a breath of fresh air and everyone of any age is welcome. I highly recommend The Jagged Edge Retreat.

I loved it! The experince and hair was well worth the price. As for the people who went to say Chris over priced it obviously haven't gone there. I'm sorry but if you are cheap just go to your great clips or any other place like that and get a gair cut from someone just trying to make a few bucks; or go to Jagged Edge and get it from people who like what they do. I highly recommend Jacob at the Draper store.

Pros: Perfect for anyone who wants great hair

Cons: Not good for cheap people

More of a happening spot than a retreat that's famous for hairstyles.  See the full editorial review.
