Phillips Gallery is the oldest commercial gallery in the intermountain west. We represent artists working in a variety of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, ceramics, printmaking, jewelry and mixed media. Our artists, many of whom have been with us for a couple of decades, are primarily from Utah or the surrounding area. Phillips Gallery also represents national and international artists who have an association with Utah. You will discover a full range of subject matter from traditional to contemporary.

Phillips Gallery is also available to do custom framing, appraisals, restoration, installation, crating/shipping, space planning and lighting consultation, as well as consulting on private and corporate collections. Art is an integral part of life experiences and Phillips Gallery is dedicated to a growing awareness in the visual arts of our community.

Editorial Review for Phillips Gallery – by Jason Esplin

Gallery Vibe
Phillips was established in 1965 and is the oldest commercial gallery in the Intermountain West. As a privately-owned gallery, it exists in a symbiotic relationship with the artists--about 95% of which are local. Phillips represents 80+ artists who use a variety of media, from painting and sculpture to ceramics and jewelry.

Education
Phillips is not as involved with the local schools as some of the non-profit institutions, but is regularly represented at local art talks and presentations. However, the occasional gaggle of elementary school kids will be seen roaming the halls.

Exhibits
Phillips rotates its stable of artists on the main-floor gallery, and houses collections from the others in the basement and second-floor galleries. The media is widely varied, but is all contemporary.

Last week while visiting Salt Lake City I stopped into Philips Gallery and was surprised to see the amount of amazing art. The gallery has three floors and beautiful sculpture deck. It is a must see if you are the Salt Lake area.

Pros: Available free parking in front.
