Just one of those great places your glad you came across.. I haven't been disappointed with anything I have ordered here. My favorites, however, are the turkey dip and the pepper jack beef. The atmosphere is wonderfully jazzed based. It is tucked into the basement of the historic Boston building. This is a must try. Trust me you'll become a regular.
Great Lunch Away from the Office. This place has really friendly service. If you're not sure what to get, just tell them what type of meat you like on your sandwich and they'll tell you what's best. I'd recommend the roast beef with chiles - try it, you'll like it! Try to get there before the lunch crowd though.
Fresh sandwiches and gourmet chili in a jazzy basement space..
Boston Deli is faintly reminiscent of Cheers, minus the bar. Tucked beneath downtown's Boston Building, the deli is entered via a narrow flight of stairs. The atmosphere is bustling, the service friendly. Lively jazz tunes accompany business chat. Go there enough and everyone will, quite literally, know your name.
Sandwiches are the specialty. Choices range from light and traditional to somewhat exotic. The turkey avocado is fresh and filling, while the curry-flavored chicken salad is surprisingly rich for a deli lunch. All sandwiches are served on fluffy slices of fresh bread--white, wheat, rye or sourdough. Popular lunch items also include gourmet chili, salads, soups and pastas. Combo meals come with your choice of sandwich, plus side dish and soft drink. You can't go wrong with one of their chewy macaroons, lemon bars, peanut butter cookies or German chocolate brownies.
good sandwiches. Hidden in a basement off Main Street, the Boston Deli is nonetheless heavily populated daily for lunch. And for good reason--their sandwiches and soups always make a great lunch. It can be very difficut to find a table if you arrive after 12pm, though.
Simple and pleasing. Surprisingly, The Boston Deli has nice lighting for a place that's located in a basement. The food is simple (sandwiches, soups, cookies) but it's of very good quality. Grab a quick meal to take back to the office or linger for a while and read the paper.
