jalapenos for pho?. dao is definitely a no frills restaurant with friendly service that's so efficient you feel slightly rushed. my boyfriend and i ordered pho(noodle soup)and the beef/shrimp combo you self-grill tableside. this is the worse pho i've had. i grew up eating pho and have had it many times eating out. i was surprised that jalapenos(not enough heat) was one of the condiments for this soup. maybe small chilis, but i've never seen jalapenos at any asian restaurants. my boyfriend, who's new to pho, liked the soup so if it's your first time and have no comparisons then i recommend ordering this. if you decide to order a dish that you grill tableside, beware, there is splattering. my boyfriend's white shirt got oil stains. otherwise, it was kinda neat grilling your own food. if you are looking for a cheap eat, then this place is not such a bad choice.…
Crave great pho?. I've only tried a few things on their menu and I have always been satisfied. That said, I go to Pho Anh Dao for the soup... pho soup. I've tried a bunch of places all across town and this place serves the best that can be had in Salt Lake City. The service is impersonable and the dining area itself is what you would expect from a Hardee's retrofit/80's nightmare. All that said, they seriously have the best fresh spring rolls and pho soup in town.…
Glad we came!. Not a fancy place, but excellent food and price.. Specially when we realized that we've ordered the wrong dishes, the waiter volunteered to swap for us - what a service!! We'll definitely return!!!
Eat at Dao's. Killer food, thats all I can really say. I mean if your looking for ambience eat italian, looking for food eat here. Try the vietnamese rice platters, my favorite is pork. Best vietnamese food I have had, straight up.…
Fast and good. If you're in the mood for a no frills, fast, cheap, and tasty place, this is it. The soups are great (though not the best I've had, but definitely the best in Salt Lake). The other items are not as impressive, so I would recommend sticking to the noodle soups. Don't expect warm service and you won't be disappointed.…
