Lamb's is Utah's oldest continually operating restaurant. The restaurant has remained unchanged since 1939. The booths, tables, wainscot, back bar, counters, counter stools, light fixtures and steam table, which are still in use today, came from a restaurant previously located on Main Street, known as Gunn's Cafe. One notable exception, the chairs in the main dining room, were imported from Vienna by Mr. Lamb in the 1920's. The antiques which decorate the restaurant have been collected from around the world.

The Scene – The dining room has rich red colors, dark-wood wainscoting, chandeliers and antiques. Small intimate booths, white table linens and uniformed servers add to the atmosphere. Have a seat at the long counter or opt for a table. – – The Food – For breakfast, there are several omelettes offered, as well as specialties like grilled red snapper and New York steak and eggs. It's also one of the few places around that you'll find steamed finnan haddie, a traditional Scottish breakfast dish made with haddock. Lunch and dinner favorites include the barbecued lamb…
A great lunch with very good service
by hushasha40
A friend and I stopped by for a quick lunch. We ordered drinks [available only after 12 noon--ask for the alcoholic beverage menu] and I ordered the onion soup gratinee and the salad shrimp louie. My friend ordered the beef liver. The soup and salad were both large and very delicious. My friend ate all of the liver and said that it was excellent. The meal came with delicious sesame bread and butter. Despite a very good sized crowd, the staff, while busy, was especially professional and friendly. I would definitely return to this centrally located restaurant.
- Pros: Great atmosphere, good portions, friendly staff
- Cons: can be crowded
Great breakfast

We ate there on a Saturday morning for breakfast. The service was great, the food was lovely and tasty, and the atmosphere is old fashioned fancy. I loved it. Great breakfast without the typical sticky breakfast diner hazards. I highly recommend.
