The restaurant was clean, the food delicious. The food at this downtown SLC restaurant is wonderful. All their tandoori dishes are well prepared and the naan is generous sized and baked to perfection. The lamb is delicious. Well spiced and obviously made from quality meat. Make sure you use the mint sauce that accompanies the meal. It has a real nice spice that compliments the meat. The chicken has the texture of organic game and the shrimp are a nice size. We had the tandoori platter and a lamb dish, both which we would order again. We went on a Tuesday evening and were able to be seated right away since they aren't as busy as the weekend. The restaurant was clean, the food delicious

It was a fun experience. My husband and I found Star of India and decided to give it a try. We were both kind of skeptical because we'd never had Indian food before but when we finally got our appetizer, Chicken Tikka Masala, and delicious nan to share we were SO happy we stopped in to try it. It was a fun experience to eat there and it had a nice atmosphere. We are very excited to go back and try something new next time! I would say it's my new favorite type of food!

The people are warm, knowledgeable, and eager to help.. I have been going to Star of India for over six years in both the old and new location and hold it as the gold standard against every other indian restaurant I go to in the US.

The food, service and prices are great. The food, service and prices are great. Being Indian and eating at a lot of Indian Restaurants Star has got to be my favorite. My fiance and I eat there 2 times a week. We always go Saturday for their amazing buffet, and dinner time to order off the menu. It's great!! 5 stars hands down!!

The food was so good. The food was so good! They're so generous as well. I don't think i ever had better tasting indian food than that. I would highly recommend trying it, it tastes fresh and authentic!

Best Indian Food. The food is excellent and so is the service. First time eating Indian Food. Was introduced by a co worker. Loved everything on the buffet . Would definitely recommend it for a wonderful dining experience.

Great food, great price. One of the other attorneys at the firm I work for convinced me to try this place. Their food is amazing, it is a little out of the way if you don't live in town but worth the drive. perfect date resturant.

Best Indian Food in Town. This is my favorite restaurant in all of Salt Lake City. The food is amazing and I have taken literally dozens of people there for the first time and they always love it.

Favorites are Chicken Tikka Sagwala, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Shahi Korma and the Raita. They also have terrific Mulligatawny and vegetable samosas.

The service is always personalized and friendly and the restaurant is always clean.

We love going early in the evening to catch a Bollywood movie with dinner. This is a Salt Lake institution that has earned it's reputation.
