The Scene – Randy's is all about vinyl--wall upon wall of mostly used, with a limited selection of new. – – The Employees – Staff members have a good knowledge of Randy's stock, even with used vinyl coming in every day. They're nice, friendly people, too. – – The Selection – You can find 7-inch, 12-inch and full-length LPs. The selection of CDs is better than the selection of tapes. – – Price Check – Used vinyl goes for as low as $2.95 and rarely exceeds $10. New vinyl and CD prices vary, but usually start at…

Great Store. I have bought both new and used there . Great Customer Service. I came in to buy a cartridge and replace a stylus one Saturday. Randy indentified the wiring on my cartidge was crossed and helped my re-set it up then he cleaned the needle.... Good conversation with Buddy Guy playing in the background ... great way to spend an afternoon...
Best record store in the state!!! HANDS DOWN!

Wow! I have over 8,000 records and am always impressed with the new and used records I find at this store. They do a really good job here here with the new and used vinyl and have the best selection of both in the state. I saw a silly negative comment left by the buck guy about this store. Some new records do have problems as there are so many being pressed and it seems that many of the companies pressing them are not doing a good job. I have had three records that I got at Randy's over the past 3 years that were so warped they skipped, and they let me return all three. I actually inquired about returns again and told them about the review I saw here. They told me that record companies are making some bad pressings and do not guarantee the records they sell. That being said the particular customer had apparently bought a record and left it in the car and it was melted from sun damage and it was not even the manufacturer's fault but the so called "record collector" who went and left his new record in the car. I have been collecting for half that long and I know better. Not smart "bucky"! Don't blame our best record store for your awesome move of leaving a record in the car. NOTE TO NEW RECORD COLLECTORS: DO NOT LEAVE YOUR RECORDS IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT EVER!!! Anyway, if you are going to stop by any record store in this city, it has to be Randy's. They have been there since I can remember and are the oldest independent record store in the state for good reason. I would usually not give away my favorite digging spots by have reached saturation point with my record collection and am cutting back my buying to mostly new records that I still get at Randy's. MY FAVORITE RECORD STORE! SUPPORT INDEPENDENT MUSIC AND RECORD STORES. Never buy vinyl from a mall, chain store, grocery store or major online site (i.e. AMAZON) I buy from Randy's because it is local. I buy from Randy's because it is the BEST!
- Pros: Amazing vinyl selection
- Cons: Too small of store, with that I could get into Randy's legendary Warehouse
think they have the market cornered

After 8 years of spending 50$ a week on their jacked up used record prices I am completely done shopping there. You know the deal they but a used record for 75 cents, clean it & sell it for $5. Awesome! The good thing about buying used records is you can inspect them, see if they are warped.
Yesterday I did a bit of shopping before my gig, i picked up some used vinyl and the latest Erykha Badu. I have been DJing professionally for 20 years and am well aware that the sun and records don't mix well. I brought my records home immediately to meet the rest of my collection.
Long story short: the new album was warped and Randy's won't take returns, they offered me $5 off a new record or 10 off of used records.
I took my warped record and my business and dipped.
With customer service like that, ebay might win.
I hope positively 4th st records improves their used selection.
