What People Are Saying About Big Apple Pizzeria

The Scene – It's your typical strip-mall pizzeria. Don't be shy about bringing kids--there's plenty of room for them to run around while you wait for your pie. – – The Food – The pizzas are New York-style, with a thin crust that can get soggy if you order a lot of toppings. Some of the more popular specialities include white pizza (with plenty of garlic) and pesto pizza. Go for a calzone if you're not in the pizza mode. If you're in the market for something different, try a pizza bender--kind of a sub sandwich made by folding a pizza crust around your meat and cheese…
Good New York Style Pizza
by teddyman
For pizza this restaurant ranks high on our list. It is definitely authentic New York thin crust pizza and very good. You won't get a processed pizza here but instead a good hand tossed pizza made the old fashioned way in a seasoned oven.
The atmosphere isn't anything to write home about, but it's clean and so is the restroom. The service is average but the people are usually very nice. You can't go wrong here.
- Pros: Excellent pizza, clean and friendly.
- Cons: Average atmosphere and service.
Chicago deep dish
by jodeluja
Have had the pepperoni pizza in the past and it was good. Nice crust, good cheese, perfect amount of sauce. Recently however I must have gotten the chefs on a bad night. The Chicago deep dish was grossly overflowing with ricotta cheese and we probably had a total of 6 pieces of pepperoni on the entire pie. The White pizza would have probably been better with some sauce.
Definately stick to the basic pizza's here.
Great Pizza, Calzones, and Bread
by rinlok
I have been to this place about 4 times, never a dissapointment.
If you love pizza and you are looking for somewhere new, give this place a try.
Make sure to try the cheesebread and the garlic knots.
