Editorial Review for Shivers – by Peter Behle
The Scene
If you're bringing kids, Shivers will make you feel at home--there are trains everywhere and kids climbing all over everything. However, they do offer a small outside seating area in front along busy 3300 South and drive-up window for those on the go.
The Food
Burgers and more burgers. The favorites are the Super Deluxe (two 1/4-pound beef patties with ham or pastrami) and the Western (one 1/4-pound patty with bacon, onion rings and BBQ sauce). The Train burger is a pseudo-Big Mac. Fries and onion rings are nicely done, too. Shakes are another big draw--they offer 80 flavors--and they're so thick they stand four inches above the top of your cup.

Insider Tips
Cheese, PleaseJust about everything comes with cheese, so anti-cheese people need to specify their preference. Also, fresh tomato can be added to any burger for a quarter.
High School HeavenClosing hours can vary during the school year since the owners want to make sure their student-workers get home at a decent hour on ''school nights.''

If you like Arctic Cricle, you will like Shivers. Actually, Shivers used to be Arctic Circle. And the burgers are the same, the difference is in the shakes. Shivers shakes are great.
