Attention! The owners of Sid Sports are dishonest and scam their customers. They also own an unmanned carwash at 300E/300S in SLC, which shares the same phone number as Sid Sports. This secondary business failed to provide me with a receipt (they claim their machine is broken) and then charged me a massive amount more than what their machine showed on the screen that I would be charged for. With these shady practices, I'd avoid their businesses altogether.

Well things certainly must have changed since then...My experience (and that of my new friends) at Sid Sports was nothing short of a nightmare. First, I brought in two IKs to fix some small holes. It took these clowns WEEKS to even begin, and then when I came all the way up to Salt Lake to pick them up, and get them out on the water, they STILL leaked--even more than previously because these jokers pulled off all the previous patches.

Not shockingly enough, I returned and spoke to Sid who promised me (see also: lie to my face) that he would personally do the repairs so they wouldn't leak. Yep. Weeks later, my IKs still leaked.

I asked around and this is pretty much a common happening for anyone unfortunate enough to wander into his store. Why no one put up an honest review is beyond me, because ask anyone in the river community--this guy SUCKS! He and his imps are dishonest, fail at every customer service opportunity, don't know how to repair even the basic of leaks, and really don't think you'll notice that the holes you took for him/them to repair, STILL LEAK WHEN YOU NEED THEM THE MOST!

Plus his items are WAY marked up--Just got directly to NRS, Sawyer or AIRE. You have all been warned!

Best rafting store in Utah. I mail ordered a frame, and I discovered a week before a Cataract canyon trip that it didn't fit my cooler and drybox. Sid built a bomber custom frame for me for a third the cost of the mail order frame, and it was ready in three days. Its worked beautifully for me or several seasons in big whitewater. Best customer service i've ever had.
