Consistently good. I've been to five alls for years, we used to go every year for my birthday, and now I go as much as I can. I've probably been there 10+ times and it is always excellent. I don't know why people complain about the decor, it's a medieval english resturaunt, it's supposed to be dark. The food is amazing, as everyone else has said the Oscar is amazing, the crab is good, the lobster was awesome. My faveorite part is the appetizers. The breadsticks are just amazing, and the meatballs are very good. It is very expensive but you get five courses. There are resturaunts similiarly priced in Utah and they all just come with the main dish. Five Alls comes with breadsticks, salad, meatballs, main course, and desert.

Best steak in Salt Lake City. I love, love, love the Filet Oscar! Their steaks are sooo good. I went with a group and a girl in our party had a filet prepared well-done (BAD, I know) but at Five Alls it was actually still tender and not charred, even though it was cooked all the way through. I had a bite and was so surprised! My husband and I love it there, we go so often now we're pros! Yes, it's dark and definitely not modern, but I think that's part of their charm. They are TRYING to be old fashioned, it's an Old English theme. Anyway, if you haven't been go! Make a reservation because then you can request extra breadsticks and dip, which is an appetizer everyone gets. They're to die for, and if you ask for more when you make reservations they'll always give you more! (Just a tip- my husband and I do this everytime, because we love them, and always want more!) Becky and Phoebe are the best servers they have there, request them if you want A+ service.

Fabulous food, can not be beat.. Five-alls has fabulous food. Their Oscar Filet and King Crab legs can not be beat. Superb flavor and having traveled extensively I have never had a better steak prepared. The interior is dark and can be a bit drab but I believe it add's to the medieval atmosphere. With the heavy metal goblets and the waitresses attire it's a great place to go. The price I would consider even a bit low for what you get. The price includes appetizer, entree, and dessert. Definitely try this one out.

Better options to be found than Five Alls!. Surprised by the low quality food!

Visiting from out of town, we went to Five Alls on a weeknight- the food was not fresh and was poorly prepared, really lackluster.

Our young server kept drifting in and out of a faux British accent- weird!

Big price:quality mismatch here.

In business since 1969, this British-themed steak and seafood place focuses on quantity.. In Short
Deriving its name from English public houses, Five Alls carries the theme through to the period decor: brown oilcloth for tablecloths, wooden beams and lots of dark wood. With a number of smaller rooms, it's popular with groups. From hors d'oeuvres to almond macaroons accompanying your check, everything is included and food never stops coming. Starters are followed by fresh fruit or soup. Entrees include steak, lobster and halibut. Desserts range from sundaes to cheesecake.

Always good. My husband and I have been going to Five Alls for years now. They are always excellent, and for the amount of food you get for the price, they are hands down the best value in fine dining in all of Utah. They have stayed consistent for over 35 years. Not many places can boast that. Go weekdays to avoid any crowds, and weekends are good too, but request the windows or booths for extra romance! Filet Oscar is unbeatable, and their wine prices are SOOO low, but good selection!

The Food. I found the food to be excellent. I have been to the restaurant twice and both times with my husband.

My husband had the soup and I had the strawberries for starters. We both loved and tried what the other ate. I would love to make that soup myself. My husband had the vegetable plate and I had the season dish of Lamb and found it was the best meal we both had enjoyed at a restaurant in a long time.

I recommend the Five Alls to everyone. If your wanting a night out that is enjoyable and filled with excellent food, then you should make reservations and get a babysitter if you need one.

very overrated. I took my husband for a birthday dinner. Waited almost and hour and a half for our dinner, the food was not good, the service was slow, and there was this horrible smell through out the restaurant. Not to mention the same grungy decor that has been there at long as the place has been open. I don't understand how people can think its romantic! Not worth the money or time, there are so many better restaurants in Salt Lake now, especially for steak and seafood.

Subpar. After reading all the reviews here I finally went. The decor is shabby and dirty. Brown vinyl tablecloths? The food is marginal. WAY overrated. Laughable.
