My #1 favorite place to eat. I love this place. The owner is super friendly and helpful, and there is a wonderful selection of Indian ingredients and frozen/packaged food, and some clothing and indian videos. Best of all, Thurs.-Sat. they make 2-3 fresh dishes and serve them with rice and naan. There's one little table for eating in, but mostly it's a takeout place. The quality of the food is exceptional. It is a little-known treasure.
The place to find the finest quality and greatest variety of grocery and craft items from India..
Grocery items predominate; shelves and freezers are filled with everything Indian--from staples to foods that are ready to eat. At the other end of the store, you'll find items ranging from ayurvedic medicines to Indian dresses.
Whether you want to prepare a traditional Indian meal or just have a yen for Indian food, you'll find what you need. Choose from flours and rices, coconut and mustard oils, every type of lentil, chutneys, curry pastes, hot mango and hot lime relishes, coconut powder, and spices ranging from cardamom to garam masala. And that's just the beginning. Also available are Indian sauces, fully cooked entr?es suitable for backpacking, and frozen organic entr?es and wraps. Henna powder, massage oils, incense, music for meditation, museum-quality Indian prints, greeting cards, handmade stationery, bells and Indian cookbooks round out the selection.
Expand your pantry. With tons of Indian cookbooks and all the spices you need to create your own dishes, this is the first place to come if you want to expand your cooking horizons. The store has hard-to-find items that you won't find in your usual gourmet store.
