Excellent Service. Excellent Value. Trusted for 17 yrs. I started using Precision European back in 1995 for oil changes on my 1987 FJ60 based on a recommendation from the dealer who sold me the car. I ran into a mechanical problem that a Landcruiser specialist couldn't solve so I called Jack. He and his crew were able to identify the issue and remedy it quickly and economically.

I've owned several cars since then ('96 Tacoma, '02 S4 Avant, '00 Tundra, '84 Vanagon Westy, '02 X5 3.0, and most recently, an '05 Passat TDI Wagon). He's performed all service for me including routine mechanical services like brakes, timing belts, axels and CV joints, and inspections. I've never had an issue with any of his work and his rates are very competitive.

The service is always impeccable and he gets it right the first time. If you are concerned about cost, ask them for a quote first - they'll tell you what it will cost to get the work done and you can compare the estimate to whoever you want (I wouldn't pay too much attention to hourly rates - what's more important is what get's accomplished during that hour).

I recommend Precision to all my friends.

Biggest VW ripoff ever. If you're looking for a good price to fix your VW...don't go here. I had the smallest problem with my engine that Jack wanted to charge me almost $800 for altogether. I took it to the dealership, and they fixed the problem immediately with no cost. He tried to rip me off in so many ways. Be aware, he charges $100/hr. The dealership charges $1 less.

Best Mechanics In the City. Jack and his crew at Precision are without question the best mechanics in Salt Lake City. They have taken care of my Jaguar and now my two Mercedes. Far better than Ken Garff. Most important, you can trust them to do a great job at a fair price. They are the most honest shop I have ever used. They are just great.

The only place I'll take my Germans. I've been taking my cars (Mercedes and BMWs) to Jack for over 10 years and would and do recommend Precision to anyone. His new location is great too.

My first choice everytime!. I have always received very attentive service and they always do a great job. Jack, the owner, is very friendly and makes a point to greet his customers. They have saved me money several times and give me peace of mind that I'm getting fair and trustworthy service. That's why I go back everytime!
