If I could do no stars I would
DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!!
Let me start off with my dog is mostly an inside dog, I live in an apt. he is never outside without me with him. I dropped my pet off with them for 3 days and I got him back he acted like he had been beet. Low ears tail between his legs, he didn’t even wag his tail until the next day. In addition to acting traumatized he covered in blisters, bleeding from the ear, suffering with ear mites and kennel cough. When I called in thinking they would be apologetic and offer to help heal the animal I entrusted them with. They said I signed a paper saying they are not responsible for anything that happens to my pet while he was there. They neglected to take proper care of a pet and now he is bleeding from the ear and very sick. They could care less when I called them. They went on about how they are not responsible for anything and it’s not there problem. In addition to the 80$ I paid them to ‘watch’ my dog I now have to spend an extra 100+ dollars to take him to the vet and for any medication I have to get to fix the damage they did. Do not take your pet here. They simply don’t care; it is all about the money for them. He would have been better off if I just left him home alone.
Great place for for my needy little dog
to get the TLC she needs every day. I've been taking my dog to Old Farm for 7 years on a daily basis for day care. Great staff that makes me feel at ease that my animal is in a safe place each day.
Pricing is reasonable and boarding is always available if/when notice is given.
I brought my beagle in for 5 days over
Easter weekend. I brought his own food and bedding in. When I picked him up, they first brought out the wrong dog, and then when they did bring my dog out, he was greasy and filthy and his bedding reeked. I took him home, instantly bathed him and immediately the diarrhea and vomiting started. I've boarded my dog several times before since I adopted him two years ago and NEVER had any problems, but now I am on day 4 of super sick puppy and I am out $300 vet bills (and counting!) to figure out what happened to my dog while in their custody. When I called to complain, I was assured that the waiver I signed in order to drop him off excused them from all liability and essentially they were "sorry" I "had a bad experience," but that was pretty much it.
I am sorry too. I'm sorry I believed the positive reviews. Do yourself a favor and keep your pets away from this place.
Last summer I boarded my 13 year old 7-lb. dog here for approximately a week of overnights. After I picked her up I noticed her fur was flecked all over with dried paint. After several attempts I finally talked to the owner personally. Seems she had all the dogs outside in the gravel yard while having the side of the kennel painted with alkyd paint (a known carcinogen). She finally admitted my dog was rushed/pushed into the wet paint by a group of larger dogs. She said she didn't think it necessary to inform me because they had washed her repeatedly and got most of the paint off her fur. Finally, she said she wouldn't have boarded her own older dog at an open kennel. In other words, not being informed of the accident, and making the mistake of letting her take my money to board an elderly dog was my fault, not hers. I think you can figure out why I will never board here again.
great facility and staff.
I have four little dogs who attend doggy day care at the OLD FARM on a regular basis. The staff are always friendly, caring, and take the time out to make sure my four dachshunds get the attention they need.
This facility is family owned. Each time I go in I, too, feel like a part of their family.
Thank you Old Farm, you're the best :)
Great for all size dogs, and our cat too!.
The surface of this daycare is a little rough, it doesn't look like a posh puppy salon. It instead, is a dog smelling, dog friendly atmosphere. But don't let the grassroots feel scare you away: this is a very professional business. They are always quick to respond to calls, they stay on top of vaccinations, they are friendly, and take great care of our animals.
We love that our lab has plenty of room to run around during the summer with water and shade, and a warm heated barn for the winter. We also love that our fussy dachshund gets to play queen of the little dogs in their own play area, where she won't get stepped on by big pups. Even our cat gets to hang out inside with the staff, and enjoy a play date with our little dog for some great family time.
If you want your dogs to be able to sleep at night, and play all day like a normal animal, instead of putting them in those bright sardine can 'salons' this is the place for you puppy.
Disappointed. The review says “Larger or aggressive breeds need to pass a social evaluation test”. If you have a “pure bred pit bull” they won’t even do a social evaluation test. This weekend I tried to board my dog here but because he is a “pure bred pit bull” they wouldn’t board him and turned me down even before they even met him. Good thing there are other boarding facilities in the valley that understand the bully breed and will gladly board them.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
We have been taking our English Bulldog there for almost a year. The staff is incredible and extremely friendly and so excited everytime we take our dog in. They treat her and take care of her like she was the only dog there. The staff loves what they do and take great care and love for all the animals at the facility. Our schedule is always changing so they are very accomodating and great to work with. We trust them with our dog and would not take her anywhere else.
The Spencer's
Great Place!!!. We boarded our two Great Dane mixes at Old Farm Pet R esort as we did not want them locked up in a kennel the majority of time during the day only to be let out a short time during the day as we were going to be gone over a week. The interaction with the other dogs was fantastic. Our older Great Dane mix is shy and staff were wonderful with him. They said after a couple of days he warmed right up to them. Our puppy (9 mos) had a great time playing with the other dogs and being allowed to run around the securely fenced play yard while being supervised by staff the entire time. The "boys" sleep together so they were given a kennel that opened to another kennel so they could maintain their sleep pattern and be less stressed. The "boys" came home and slept for two days as they had played so much at Old Farm. I would HIGHLY recommend Old Farm Pet Resort to anyone who needs to board their dogs but don't want them locked up all day in a kennel.
Incredible facility! Recommend to anyone.. I have used many boarding facilities, and Old Farm is by far the best I have found! My dogs spent 3 weeks there last summer while I was in Europe, and they almost seemed disappointed to leave. I travel frequently, and the friendly staff at Old Farm has always accommodated my hectic schedule. My dogs love the open, outdoor area and I appreciate that they are able to sleep in the same kennel. I use Old Farm for overnight trips and long vacations because my babies are happy, well-exercised and attended to while they stay at this resort. You can tell that the staff really cares about the animals. Each dog is treated like a family member, and that is what I love about this kennel. It feels like dropping off your dogs with a family member who loves them as much as I do.
