Bad Service. I found a dress that Dillards was carrying that I wanted to purchase but couldn't find it in my size. Dillards called another store for me and put another dress on hold. I went to the other Dillards and was prepared to purchase the dress but it didn't fit - at all. The size was exactly what I wore so I didn't understand why it wouldn't fit. As I started looking at the dress I could clearly see that it has been altered to fit someone. The dress straps had been cut and shortened more than 2 inches and other small changes were made. When I realized this I brought it to the managers attention and she said, "Oh well". On another occastion I purchased some pants which I ended up taking back a week later. They hadn't been worn and I had the receipt! The girl at the counter wouldn't give me cash back for the pants EVEN WITH THE RECEIPT. How is it someone can return a worn altered dress but can't return unworn jeans with the receipt? Horrible service.

A department store with variety and affordable prices.. In Short
Dillard's is known for affordable items, as opposed to exclusive brands. Staples include DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, Dana Buchman, BCBG and Kenneth Cole. Dedicated shoppers can occasionally find Charles David boots or Kate Spade bags at cheaper prices than at other department stores. The chain also offers items for kitchen, bed and bath, as well as a full-service travel agency.

substandard service. Dillards may have some name brand clothing, but thats about it. The store is poorly planned out, with clothing racks crowding the walking space. Clothes are expensive, hard to find, and the service is terrible. I avoid Dillards.

Beyond the Mountains. I have been shopping at Dillards for the past 4 years and I love it. I return to Utah about every three to 4 months to visit my children and family and each time I look forward to my special afternoon at Dillards. I have looked all over Chicago and have not found a store as fun and exciting as my Dillards....it's the store Beyond the mountains. Fran
