A solid public course for your golfing dollar.. Forest Dale Golf Course began life as the Salt Lake Country Club. The city acquired the course in 1935 and has redesigned the layout over the years to keep things challenging and up-to-date. Small, tabletop greens, leftover from the country-club days, make accuracy on your approach shots the name of the game. Forest Dale measures 2,970 yards from the blue tees, 2,621 from the whites, and 2,277 from the reds. The Forest Dale Golf Course Clubhouse, restored in 1994-95, has been placed on the Utah Historical Register.
