Tips for Gold's Gym

Stay away from these Crooks!. Avoid all Gold's gym locations like the plague. The location I currently use in Sandy is going out of business and the other full gym location is almost ten miles away from my house and an express gym that has nothing for me as a heavy lifter...... and they wouldn't do a thing to let me out of the contract. So, I'm stuck with a contract for ten more months to a gym that no longer exists and no other close options. Customer service rep was more than rude on the phone and could obviously care less about the sitution. Sweet customer service and business plan!

Don't Join Gold's !. I went in to Gold's in a hurry and told them I wanted to join up. The sales person put me in a $40.00 a month membership. As I asked around, I found out that most people were paying $20.00. So I called to find out why I was being charged so much. The sales person put me in a VIP membership which includes child care, tanning, and racquetball. I don't have kids, I am a red head and I do not tan, and I have never played racquetball. They won't change my membership. Do not sign anything with these people!

Stay away.. First it feels like a small and far too overcrowed meat market. You truly don't get your moneys worth here. Weights/classes everything is cramped and count on having to wait. Not to mention, there is no pool, sauna, hot tub, or any of the facilities standard at most gyms. I don't know if it's just the sugarhouse location, but you've been warned... take your time and money somewhere else. There are many other GOOD sports clubs in the downtown/sugarhouse area.

I wouldn't join this club. I wouldn't recommend this club to anyone. The Lifestyles 2000 Sugarhouse club is really dark inside and there is always hip-hop teenie bopper music on. It wasn't a good atmosphere. It seemed that everyone was there to impress others. The aerobic classes were always too packed and there was no place to move. The other locations are OK, better than this one. Sorry to be harsh, but I didn't have a good experience.

Bad Tainers-Small Gym. The trainers here are all young guys that are hooked on themselves, I used a couple different one and I felt insecure about myelf with each one. The equipment is kinda old and the space is so small everything is jam packed in there. There is no parking barely and teh equipment is always taken cause this place is always busy. The clients are really young and the price is cheap. When I left this place for apple fitness it was so hard to get out of my month to month membership. THey kept sending me on a rat race and their billing is a whole seperate company, VERY ANNOYING!!! Skip this gym and go somewhere else!
