Speciba Comrade!.
This restaurant does not accept any sort of credit or debit card so please plan accordingly!!!!
I had the borscht and the beef filled dumplings. The borscht was great! It was loaded with shredded veggies like cabbage and carrots and a dallup of sour cream. It wasn't some nasty beet soup like I had imagined--it was more like a vegetable/beef soup. Definitely give it a try!
The beef dumplings were simple yet tasty. They were in a light broth and were hearty but not heavy.
The owner, Olog, acts as the server and host and his mother does all of the cooking--so it is authentic. There's no better Russian cook than a babooshka!
This place is amazingly russian!!. This place is amazingly russian!! You walk in and feel that you are not in Utah, but in a small restaurant in Russia. The russian pop music and the blue walls are typical, even heart warming for someone that has been to the country. The food is as well. Don't miss out on the Zharkoe, a great russian stew, and the stuffed cabbage rolls are fantastic. It is a definite must try for anyone not in the mood for your TGI Fridays or McDonalds on a Friday night!!
great food, great price. I just loved this resturant. After having been to Russia, I was looking for a place that served Russian food. Rasputin was the only one in Salt Lake City surprisingly enough. I went there for lunch and had what was arguably some of the best food I have eaten since I moved to Salt Lake City. The service was a little on the slow side, but one of the things i learned from my trip to Russia was that every meal is an event and shouldn't be rushed. Spaciva Rasputin!
A little Taste of Russia!.
The food is wonderful! I love their Dumplings! their Qt. Chicken is so good! All of their food is great!
Its made when you order!
my brother had his wedding party dinner held their, everything was made just for the party! Everyone enjoyed it!
I will recommend Rasputin to anyone!
Try something new. I'm always looking to try something new and had never had Russian before. The atmosphere was pretty simple but made it feel almost more authentic. Some of the dished seemed a little bland for my taste. Everything was hot and tasted great. We had wonderful service even though there was a large party there at the same time. No, the dinnerware doesn't look brand new and the decor isn't designer, but in my opinion it adds to the charm. It feels like your in a friend's grandmother's home, eating her homemade food. We will definitely be back and have recommended it to friends.
