Would never buy my furniture anywhere else!!. I have been purchasing furniture from By Design & Lofgrens for years and have NEVER once been disappointed. My furniture has withstood the rigors of children and still manages to look brand new over 6 years. The sales staff doesn't attack you like some furniture stores I have regretted visiting, but they are always available to help while allowing you to browse at your leisure. You simply can't find furniture like this anywhere. My search for new quality furniture always starts and ends with By Design and Lofgrens!

Unique and friendly atmosphere.. Walking into By Design's showroom, I was very impressed with the feeling of the space. The loft and the brick walls created a unique and inviting environment. The furniture was uncluttered yet there was lots on display. I really like the lines, fabrics, and quality of the furniture they sell. The employees were very helpful, yet let you look at your leisure. I love this store, and haven't seen anything else like it in Salt Lake.

Beautiful New Showoom. I have been a long time customer of By Design and have always had good experiences with them. I am part of the design community and have always appreciated the style that they offer at a relatively good price. The main reason for me writing this review is that I have to say something about their new showroom. From the moment you walk in, it makes you feel like you just stepped into a beautiful loft in SoHo, New York. It really is an inspiration to walk through. The address listed on Highland Drive was their old address and their new one is off of 300 W. between 2700 S. and 3300 S. You might want to call them for directions.

Anyway, for what its worth, I have loved my experience with By Design.

Good product, but only if in stock. We too had mixed result with By Design. The products they had in stock were delivered when promised and we have enjoyed the quality and products. But we too ordered product, put a down payment and were told 6-8 weeks. The product never came in, they couldn't even tell us if they would ship or when. After 3 or 4 months we canceled the order and got our money back. i will never buy anything that is not in stock

We bought for a home in St George. They could not help us get them there. We were on our own for delivery.

I have purchased from this store and I thought it had a great selection, and styles, I am in the process of building a new home, and wasn't ready for delivery, they just asked for a percentage down and they would hold it for me for a month. By the time the month was up my house still wasn't ready the sales girl told me that they could hold it longer as long as it was paid in full. I was very happy with the serviceI got, they were very accommodating during this very stressful time. I can't wait until my home is done and to get my new furniture. It's wonderful to find modern furniture in Salt Lake.

The Worst in the Business. It took a lot for me to reach the point where I would leave a review, but I was so incredibly blown away with By Design's lack of intelligence and customer service, that I had no choice. Placed an order and down payment on a bed frame in July. Told by rep it would be 4-6 weeks. After receiving 5 different calls over a period of 4 months, I'd had it. They don't have a relationship with their manufacturers at all. Now we're told we'll get it in December. I've been strung along from date to date and even now couldn't receive any kind of guarantee that it would arrive...FIVE MONTHS after ordering. When questioned about what their ordering process was, he simply said: "We just put in an order and hope that it will be in the box, but we have no way of knowing". Their stupidity is embarrassing.
