Authentic Goodness.
Friendly folks at Carol's--the gentleman who rang me up asked my about my last name which began a conversation on other topics, very real and genuine man, a pleasure to deal with. As for the eclairs and other goodies--top-notch, you won't find better baked goods at this fair of a price. They've been around for years, and it's easy to see why.

Best Eclairs Ever!!!.
It is true, they are wanting in their customer service but I have never had them make a mistake and they truly are one of the nest bakeries I have ever been to. Not to mention they are extremely reasonable when it comes to price. I order eclairs from them for every special event we have. They are fabulous and it's worth getting past the hesitant customer service.

14 Years of Birthday Cakes!.
I am sure many people start these reviews off with, "I do not normally write reviews", but I do not. Looking up the phone number I noticed the last reviewers comments about customer service and wanted to throw in my two-cents. Think "soup-nazi", of course Carol's bakers are not anything like that but you don't go there for the atmosphere. The little bakery sits in a back alley, behind and attached to a small house. There is a lot of old bakery equipment that had run out of life many years before. Low-light sets the mood for your other senses to shut down. Then, the sweet smell hits you. Like when we were children and went into the small town bakers shop. Pastries, cakes, and other assorted hand-made goods take your breath away. The people you speak with are actually the ones making the food, taking your money, and then going back to baking more heavenly goodness. There is little time to tickle your confidence. The staff are "real" bakers. They are not the hourly folks down at the local big-box store. THEY BAKE! and they do it quite well. My wife and I only buy from them 3 times per-year and it is part of our birthday present! The cake is as important as the very day I was born on. 14 years, 32 cakes (new family add-on 5 years ago), and lots of happy eating. So, go to Carol's Cakes, walk-in, pay your money, respect their time, and go and enjoy. bon appetit!

Probably great Eclairs.
I just called in to order some eclairs for my son's wedding reception, an occasion that we are very excited about. I have had much experience in the area of customer service, not that you really have to give a lot at this shop. However, I was treated very cold which makes me not have a lot of confidence on whether my eclairs will be done. I sure hope whatever is bother the certain fellow will get better. I would like this to be a pleasant experience but I was given very short abrupt answers and he cut me off and I don't feel secure in this venture.

Best Bakery Ever!!.
I walked into this bakery after a friend of mine told me about it and little did I know I was walking into heaven. They have some of the best pastries I have ever tasted! The eclairs are amazing, the pies are so good and homemade tasting, and the service was helpful and efficient. This bakery has been in business for like 75+ years now and there is a reason for it. Everything is made by hand, no yucky perservatives or ingredients you can't pronounce, and such a wide variety; everyday goodies to wedding cakes. I highly suggest making the trip to see Bob and Jeff Walkenhorst! And if you go you must try the eclairs they are famous for.
