Beautiful Flowers. Liberty Heights Fresh has been one of my favorite stores since it opened over 10 years ago. They have a beautiful selection of produce & fresh flowers, fresh breads with many local products.

Large variety but very expensive. This place no longer the largest variety of deli goods and cheeses goods in SLC. Harmons at the Brickyard, after their recent remodel, has just as much or maybe more! If you want German deli, the place to go to is Sigfreids downtown. If you want Italian deli, go to Caputos or Granatos. This is a place to go when you need something special that is hard to find, but is way too expensive to use as your everyday market.

What started as a small, specialty produce market has blossomed into a mecca for Salt Lake's food lovers.. The Scene
This is the shop for Utahns who believe food is an art. The owner has redesigned and reconfigured the small corner shop---a converted gas station---to take advantage of every square inch of space, floor to ceiling. In the summertime, the old garage doors are left open to make room for the abundance of flowers, fruits and vegetables.

The Goods
If it's available in Utah, Liberty Heights will have it. The dairy case offers a variety of aged and farmstead cheeses, creme fraiche and other specialty items. Shoppers can feast their eyes on extra-virgin olive oils and aged vinegars, imported pastas, spices and shelves of condiments. And, of course, there's produce--everything in season and everything that's not. An olive bar tempts food aficionados to dip into exotic olives by the pound. Shoppers can expect to pay top dollar, but when the produce is at peak quality, it's worth it.

Best produce in the city. There's no doubt -- the best produce in the city is right here. But it's not cheap. Still, comparing Liberty Heights to Smith's or Albertson's or Dan's is no contest -- so pay the extra couple of bucks and get the good stuff. They also have a great variety of cheeses, baked goods and flowers.

Excellent store. This converted gas station has a great selection of really wonderful gourmet items and organic or out-of-season fruits and veggies. The produce is beautiful, but it's very expensive. But it's about the only place you can find a ripe tomato out of season and berries any time of year. But you absolutely cannot beat this place for the cheese selection and olive bar. The staff is very helpful and will give you samples of cheese. Help yourself to an olive if you've never tried a particular kind. Bread is crusty on the outside and soft inside--and it goes fast on the weekends.
