According to the Utah Food Bank, one in five Utah children go hungry one week out of every month. These children will likely experience learning and concentration difficulties, frequent health problems, and even stunted growth.
Facts
Gather support from classmates and coworkers by sponsoring a food drive and donating the proceeds to the Food Bank. If you want to make a more personal commitment, volunteer your time at the warehouse, sorting food or coordinating pickup and delivery of donated items. The Food Bank is a project of the Community Services Council and United Way.
