Good Experience, Bad Results.
I wanted a dentist closer to my home and office and Dr. Todd was right between. The office was clean and the staff was nice. I thought Dr. Todd was nice as well.
I had 3 cavities filled, but my teeth felt rough afterward. I thought it was just a result of the numbness or something that would brush off, but it never did. About 4 months later, one of the fillings cracked and fell out.
I returned to my original dentist and found that not only did I have to have that filling fixed, but the other two were not done correctly either. I had to have them removed and fixed. My original dentist also fixed the roughness so that my teeth are smooth again.
I would rather travel a little distance for a dentist I trust than return to Dr. Todd.
Questionable Dentist. I first went to Dr. Johnson at South Mountain Dental. He said I had six cavities. I showed Dr. Todd the paperwork and charges from Dr. Johnson which Dr. Todd kept and never returned to me. Then Dr. Todd said I had four cavities. It seemed ridiculous, but I got a third and honest opinion from Dr. Herald Clark and found out I had only one cavity!
The greatest dentist in Salt Lake. Dr. Todd is a great dentist. Him and his staff are gentle, their tools are clean and everything is well kept. He is very thorough. He's an old fashioned high quality dentist who doesn't push all sorts of new treatments or use fear tactics to buy into treatments you don't need. I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to dentists, but he's a nice guy with a great sense of humor and I love his staff. I've never had to wait in the office, even though I'm usually a few minutes early. They don't overbook patients.
