Worth every penny!. Slaugh's isTHE BEST !!!!! I have a 1999 4-Runner that 4 other mechanics and 3 different auto shops could not get to pass emissions because of a check engine light. Hundreds of dollars wasted, and a ticket later. I found Slaugh's Car-care on City Search. I called Mike, explained the problem and discussed price. Although, I was concerned about paying $110 for diagnosis, Mike assured me and was confident about his services. I made my appointment and just like he said he would he found the problem and fixed it all in the same day. And it was something so simple! He even called the following week to make sure that my light had not come back on!! I have never had such honnest reliable service. The cost of this kind service is underestimated I would have paid more. I just wish I would have gone to him first!!! Oh, all the money I could have saved! I will never go any where else.

I've found a great new car mechanic!. Slaugh's was personable, very reasonable and I was very satified. They found the problem with my temperature issues and found it was a plugged hose. They cleaned that gratis (a dealership never would have!) and fixed my window quickly and very reasonably.

They have a new loyal customer!

Only place I use in SLC.. The service is always friendly and quick. The price is affordable. The job always gets done right and the staff doesn't try to get you for repairs you don't actually need.

Friendly and Competent. Although costly, the repairs were still cheaper than the dealership quoted. In addition to all the work I had done, Slaugh's fixed two things for free - the control panel for windows and door lock was broken and my key wouldn't unlock the driver-side door. The dealership quoted me over 300 bucks to replace the lock inside the door (which would have require me to have a different key just for that door). So, it would be hard for me to NOT recommend Slaugh's.

Dream Shop. Always friendly! Car is always ready when they say it will be so there's no waiting around unless someone else is paying when you get there. The price is never outlandish, they don't do unecessary things, and I've never had to bring it back for a do-over. If it's something they don't do, their referrals are trustworthy. Found them on the CarTalk website when I moved back to UT in 2000 after the local dealership's service dept. proved more than disappointing - later that same service dept tried to destroy my partner's car (we like Fords). They are closed on weekends and it's best to make an appointment if you can, but that's just common sense.

A Good Experience. I had my CV axles replaced, which cost me $400 total. They were fast and courteous. Of interest, I was there during closing time, and they were busy moving a car into the garage so that its owner (who hadn't paid a bill) couldn't come and take it during the night. It was kind of a weird that they were doing it, but didn't affect my experience.
