Excruciatingly Slow Service!. First --and last-- time I'll be eating at this establishment. We had two people in front of us, and another two parties waiting for food at the tables. It took over a half hour to get our food, and it was mediocre at best. The shakes were only mixed halfway-- nothing but vanilla ice cream on the bottom.

People at the table behind us left a comment card on the table that said, "SLOW service". We watched the worker clearing the table read it, and then deposit it into the trash on his way back up to the counter. (At least I knew at that point I should mail my comment card in!)

A .99 Cent burger CATCH. I visited B&D on a Tuesday at noon time because I heard of the .99 cent burgers. Upon my arrival, I came to find out that I couldn't just buy a burger by itself but rather, I had to purchase fries and a drink otherwise it wasn't going to be sold. As a poor graduate student that I am, it was very frustrating to find out that there was a catch on the .99 cent burgers. There is not a visible sign stating that additional items must be purchased to receive the .99 cent deal. Additionally, it was very difficult to understand the cashier due to his inability to speak english.

Besides all of these, the hamburger and the fries are some of the best I ever had.

best shakes. they have a best shakes i ever try . there is lot s of flaver for shake that is hard to choose whenever i go there .......... there is an other location of B and D BURGERS at 7800 s and ST street that has faster service and really better customer service.......... any may i love this palce as a fast food restaurant

Ripped off due to slow service!. My son and I wanted to grab a burger prior to an on-campus event. There were 4 to 5 people ahead of us and we were told it would be about ten minutes. After twenty minutes, I inquired about our order and was told it would be another five minutes. We couldn't wait or we would have been late to the event, so I cancelled our order and requested a refund, but the refund was refused. So, we were out 15 bucks and went to the event hungry.

I'll never go back.

Delicious fresh food made to order. I am really surprised by the negative comments about B&D burgers. It is one of the few places where food is made after you order it. They use quality ingredients and the food always tastes great. Those negative reviewers probably love McDs because it is quick. This place however, can take 10 mins to complete an order, they are always busy, and have very loyal customers. I love this place!

Too slow!. I've been to this joint three times in ten years. Sure it's the closest place to the U, where I work, but the wait was excruciating. It took an hour for them to get us a couple burgers, fries and drinks. I waited 55 minutes for a shake and an order of fries and it wasn't that busy...maybe five people ahead of me. What a waste of time!

slowest service and food ok. I waited for over 20 minutes for a burger, chicken sandwich, and chicken Skewer to go. The place was not that busy either. The food was typical fast food. Don't waste your time or money.

dollar burgers day!. the burgers are great, and tuesdays are the best because it is dollar burger day, so take advantage of that. the fries are wonderful and you should also just break down and pay the extra for the fry sauce, that is great too!

It's your basic burger joint, but dressed up: There's a fireplace, TV, modern light fixtures and stone floors. U students come here between classes to nosh.

The Food
It's surprisingly good for fast food, with quite a few options. If it's a burger you're craving, get the Big Barney: two beef patties layered with three buns, tomatoes, shredded lettuce and fry sauce. If you're not the burger type, try a grilled chicken breast sandwich. The teriyaki chicken is marinated and grilled, not just dipped in sticky sauce. The beef gyro is a good choice as well--shaved beef wrapped in a warm, soft pita and topped with yogurt sauce, tomatoes and onions. A gyro plate comes with rice or fries and a salad. Hint: Go for the delectable fries--they're the perfect texture. And if you really want to go all out, try the tasty golden zucchini fries.

Good Eats. B&D should have won Best Burger, but it didn't, what do ya do? The burgers are awesome and the chicken burgers (sandwiches, whatever) are the best around. Great burger joint!
