I love Sono. Their teriyaki or pepper salt chicken are best chicken choices. Their teriyaki sauce is to die for. Sono is definitely not the place to take your kids, but rather pick some up and take it home to enjoy, it's just better that way, and order extra teriyaki sauce cause it's so good! Great for college students!

Eat-in or takeout Japanese cuisine that offers quick fuel for the U of U crowd..
The Scene
Adjacent to the popular Pie Pizzeria, this tiny Japanese cafe serves up traditional tempura platters and rice bowls without the hassle of a long wait. Paper napkins and plastic utensils fuel the "express" aura.
The Food
Your best bets are the rice bowls: chicken, beef, pork or vegetable. Or you can opt for the eight-piece California roll. After 4pm, the dinner menu includes salmon, beef, chicken or halibut tempura served alongside batter-fried veggies, white rice, soup and salad. Combination platters with fried fish, gyoza and sushi--a tasty, albeit greasy choice.
