The Scene – The flagship of the local Italian restaurant chain, Tucci's Trolley Corners location is bustling, loud and often crowded--especially on weekend evenings, when patrons linger on hallway benches as they wait to dine before catching a flick in the same building. Though it's a popular choice for teenagers on a date or young couples on a budget, it's hardly intimate, at least at peak dining times. Service can be a bit drowsy. – – The Food – Generous portions at reasonable prices are the mark of Tucci's, but the restaurant does break its mold with flair when it…

Best Unpretentious, Authentic Italian Food in Utah! Hands down.
by AndyMidgley at Citysearch
I come to Salt Lake from Los Angeles about twice a year to visit family. I eat out all the time both in L.A. and in S.L.C. and Tucci?s is by far the ?Best Italian Restaurant? that I have been to. Sure you can go to the ?Valentino? in Santa Monica, or ?Il Cielo? in Beverly Hills, or to ?Cucina Toscana? in Salt Lake and in all of those places you will get a great meal but you will also pay a lot more. The service and customers are all a little too pretentious for my taste. I want a great authentic Italian meal with personable and attentive service. That is why Tucci?s Cucina Italiana is the best Italian restaurant I know of. If you go out once a year and you want to dine like V.P. Cheney and his Haliburton buddies than I do suggest going to those other restaurants. Throw on your best duds, grab your best girl, and stop at the ATM before you arrive. But if you want a great Italian restaurant that you can afford go to once a week and try real authentic Italian food with a nice glass of wine than go to Tucci?s.
- Pros: Great Service, Authentic Food, Excellent Value, and Sweet Patio
- Cons: Only One Location
Tucci's Rocks!

I have traveled extensively throughout the US and Italy and I have to say that Tucci's far exceeded my expectations. The service is great, the food is delicious and authentic, the wait staff are friendly and efficient, the ambience is gorgeous, the prices are inexpensive and it leaves me feeling like I am in Tuscany. With so many chain places such as Fazoli's and Olive Garden that cater the Americanized Italian foods it's great to be able to go to Tucci's and actually have an authentic meal. :)
The commentors on this board that complain about Tucci's must not be well traveled and therefore assume that Olive Garden is a better choice. Talk about naive.
The only con is that there aren't more Tucci locations in the Salt Lake Valley so the commute can be irritating.
- Pros: Authentic, Delicious, Friendly, Nice Ambience
- Cons: Not enough locations
