Families and an after-work crowd come to this relaxed Tex-Mex chain for sizzling fajitas and a buzzing bar scene..
In Short
Festive decor of colorfully tiled tables, vintage photographs and sunny Southwestern accents welcomes an all-ages crowd at this informal hangout. Youngsters and their parents pile into dining room booths; casual business types toss back margaritas and watch televised sports at the bar. The menu features mild versions of Lone Star state favorites, from double-basted baby back ribs and steak fajitas to red-beef chili and deep-fried onions.
Customer Service at Chili's Jordan Landing is non-exsistant..
We called in 30 minutes before to let them know we had a party of 16. Their call in system means nothing. We waited 45-55 minutes watched another group of 16 get seated that came in to the restaurant with out calling in a reservation. We watched several tables that could have seated us go un cleared. The young hostess were no help. The manager was young, inexperienced and they did not seem to care if we got a table or not. We finely left and went elsewhere.
What did they loose. They lost our business now and in the future. My wife and I probably ate there alone and with friends 12-15 times a year. As a family group we have eaten there a number of times. Our company used to purchase gift cards as rewards and presents (50 plus employees). We will not be doing business with Chilis again, there are other Chilis in the Salt Lake Area that will suffer as a result of their indifference and false advertizing.
If you have a group larger than 2 I highly suggest you go elsewhere as they do not appear to want your business.
Southwestern for Chiliheads!!. From the Shangai Boneless Wings to the Explosion Salad or Cajun Ribeye, Chilis delivers consistent food and great service in a fun environment every visit. I love the Soutwest Eggrolls as a starter. For a light lunch, the Chicken Tacos are flavorful. The ribs and fajitas are my favorite standbys. If you like value, fun and great food, head to Chilis. I know I'll be back soon. You can even call ahead and add your name when there is a wait.
not awful..... Chili's has good mashed potatoes, queso dip and chips. END OF STORY.....everything else seems to have the same flavor.....nothing special.....nothing original. Mediocre is the term. I would never choose to go to Chili's....I would only go if there was a special event. I would rather support local business' and eateries like Al Fornos, Cucina, or Stone Ground. They have better food....
