I have been very disappointed with this salon. The first time I went in for a mani, they were very nice but a lot of employees sitting around by the front desk chatting and looking through magazines. As potential customers came in they were turned away because they were told there were no appointments available. While that may have been true, it certainly didn't look that way and in the nearly hour (for a mani???) not one of them moved.

Since that time, I have tried to make appointments several times and always told that there was no availability. One time, the gentleman who answered the phone didn't even put it on hold and I heard him asking others if they wanted to do a mani or would rather go home. At least cover the mouthpiece so I can't hear that my business is optional! So then I tried the direct number on the Mid-City business card the gal who did my mani the first time gave me and it was disconnected.

We had a fabulous experience here. There were 7 of us that did a girl's weekend special with the Marriott Courtyard a block away and we got manis and pedis with our room. They did a great job at the salon! They were very friendly and we all had a fun time. Very good experience and I would go there again!

Mid City is GREAT! The girls are professional and know what they are doing! I trust everyone one of these girls to do my nails. The hair dressers are also very professional and are capable of any cut, color, or style. They do a great job!

Great place. Great haircut for a great price. Every cut I've gotten here has been professional & done to my satisfaction. My whole family comes here for our haircuts & my daughter has had her hair bleached & colored here. She's very picky & tells me this is the only place in our city she trusts to do her color right. I recommend Mid City Salon to anyone.

The worst pedicure i have ever got in 5 states and three countries... Yes, I used groupon... and the receptionist is nice but the manicurist is kinda mean... She feels like she's hesitant to touch my foot... My foot is well pedicured and clean and brushed all the time.. and she sucks at the paint job too... looks like a 13 year old went town on my toe nails... also they don't sterilize and manicure tools... just jumping from one customer to another... :S

Don't go here! Yes every once in a while they may do a good job but I reccommend any other nail place over this one. I went with a wedding party and it took 5 hours to get a mani and pedi!! Everyone had to wait a ridiculous amount of time, no one was completely happy with the finished product and some girls had to leave without finishing because it was taking so long! We made the appointment 3 months in advance so there should have been no other appointments messing with ours. Horrible and really stressful experience!

This was my first experience getting a pedicure and unfortunately it was not a pleasant one. I subsequently got an infection in my big toe which required the doctor having to cut half my toenail off in order to drain the infection and was on antibiotics for 10 days. This whole ordeal was not only painful, but very expensive. I contacted the salon to notify them about what had happened, and the response I got from their receptionist was "What do you expect us to do?" At this point I did not have an answer to that question, other than to let the owner know about it and to call me. I left my name and number, but never heard from anyone again.

I have read other reviews about Mid City Salon saying that they "hate Groupon customers". I absolutely have to DISAGREE on that statement. I used a Groupon for a mani-pedi that I'd bought a few months ago. All of the girls were very nice to me and every customer in the salon for the duration of my appointment. BUT it really was the worst mani-pedi I have ever had. The pedicure was sub par (specks of paint on my skin, messy look) and my manicure was just flat out painful. The girl yanked out my cuticles rather than cutting them and I bled 3 times. The final product was a gnarly mess. My cuticles looked worse at the end of the appointment than when I first went in, the paint job was bad. Just....bad. My entire right hand was smudged before I even got home. The girls that work there are sweet, but I will probably not go back because of the quality of service.

Amazing!!. Mid city salon is amazing!!! I was very pleased with the results of my hair cut and coloring!!the girls were so fantastic I felt completely comfortable and relaxed! I will definitely be coming back thanks you for everything girls you guys are great!

Wonderful Value. Great! When I first saw their mani-pedi deal, I thought it was a wonderful price. I was even happier when I realized I was getting an AMAZING mani-pedi, thus making it an even better deal. Will be back :)
