The Scene – You can't get more downtown than this 90-room inn, located directly across from Temple Square and Abravanel Hall, the city's performing arts center. Yet despite its central location, it's extremely quiet. The architecture reflects a grand, historical LDS (Mormon) style from the 1930s, beginning with an inset entrance that looks as if it belongs in a New York apartment building. – – The Details – The cozy lobby is reminiscent of an old-time parlor with its fireplace and baby grand piano. Great stay!

We recently spent one night in the Windsor suite with our kids. It had a gaslog fireplace, two queen suites and a living room with a pullout couch. It was a great set-up! Spacious, clean, great view of the temple and the symphony hall. It was loud at night but given it's ideal central location, that was to be expected. We will definitely return and request this suite for our family.
- Pros: Great location, Clean, big suite, No honor bar
- Cons: , Low shower pressure
The Best!
by potterpixie
The Inn at Temple Square is less expensive and nicer than the big chain hotels, but even though the rooms are fancier, they're somehow more comfortable as well. The pillows are the best! Also, anything in the room that you can eat or drink is free, valet parking is free, a sit-down breakfast in the morning is included, airport shuttle is free, and it's right in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. I've stayed there multiple times, including the night I got married. My husband and I made the mistake of going to the Hotel Monaco to celebrate one year, and while it was nice, it just wasn't the same--we both wished we were at The Inn at Temple Square! We've already made our reservations for this year...
- Pros: Price/Value, Location, Comfort
- Cons: No pool for kids
