The Trapp Fun Fun Fun. Everyone is welcome. No longer a private club. 21 years and older cold beer and reasonable drinks. DJ on Friday and Saturday with video fun. Patio BBQ and Sunday Potlucks every Sunday afternoon.
Best little bar in SLC. I went to this bar on it's opening week over 20 years ago. I met my husband there 19 years ago on a warm sunny April afternoon. The staff was the best then and it is still to this day. Most of that is true is because they all are still there. I just hope that the younger, weekend crowds will stop abusing one of the few, good gay bars they have!…
Spacious and friendly downtown bar with a surprisingly big back patio..
The Scene
The cheap draft beer served in mason jars and the casual, speakeasy atmosphere gives the Trapp the feel of a gay Irish pub. This cozy hangout behind Gateway has a tight front bar,
a mellow back room with pool tables and a lowered dance floor in between. The patio is shielded from the neighborhood by high trees. On a summer night, there's no better place to relax with a cold one and a table full of friends.
The Crowd
The back room fills up with regulars--both men and women--and overflows onto the cool patio when things get hot. The crowd is friendly, middle-aged and middle-class, with a hint of country hoedown.…
