Outstanding sandwiches, order like cattle..... They have great sandwiches. I have yet to order anything I did not like. The macaroni salad is also very good. We haven't tried the deserts but they look awesome. Its a pretty busy place so expect to be shuffled in one entrance and out another like cattle. Oh well. The ladies that take your order and money are very nice. The guys who make the food just kind of toss it at you when complete.

Exciting and flavorful lunch menu. So many tasty sandwiches and other lunch time yummies. Enjoyed everything I've tried. Parking is poor, and it can by busy. Try going early or late to avoid the crunch.

"INCREDIBLE FOOD!". EXCELLENT MENU! NICE AUTHENTIC SANDWICHES AND SIDES! MAKES ME MISS THE INCREDIBLE ITALIAN DELIS ON THE EAST COAST! I CAN'T WAIT TO GO AGAIN!

I BROUGHT MY CHILDREN WITH ME AND I FELT VERY COMFORTABLE. THEY EVEN SLICED UP A SANDWHICH IN SMALL BITE SIZES FOR MY CHILDREN. ONLY PROBLEM WAS FINDING TWO HIGH CHAIRS.

Is this Salt Lake?!. I can't believe speciatly italian deli of this caliber is in Salt Lake. I've been around the country and I always make a point of going in Italian delis. There are less than a handful around the country as cool as Caputo's. Maybe a couple in San Fran or New York. For example, the market side (which is seperate from the lunch spot), has 9 types of prosciutto!

A real Italian deli in Salt Lake. Good variety and selection available in the deli, and the sandwichs at the restuarant a very good. A bit more expensive than Los Angeles, but worth it if you want real Italian food, and not some Americanized version.

Market makes me feel very homesick!. I'm a New Yorker and Tony Caputo's Market is about as close as it gets here in Salt Lake City! I am THRILLED that I am able to purchase my pancetta, prosciutto, mascarpone, sopressata, olives, fresh parmesean, mozzarella and reggiano parmigiano cheeses! When it's in stock, try their italian gelato (ice cream). They have a wide seletion of italian coffees, olive oils and even offer fresh produce from local farmers' markets! They also offer many tastey italian drinks/snacks that cannot be found elsewhere. Try their sun roasted tomatoes in the marketplace, they are TO DIE FOR and my friends and I buy them on a regular basis. All in all I love the place but there is one flaw. I have to point out that their Barilla products can be found at the local grocery stores (including Super Walmart) at MUCH cheaper prices.

Bada Bing. Caputo's know what they're doing. Plain and simple. During lunch time, the line usually extends outside the main doors. Your only going to be in line for about 5-10 minutes. The employees are very helpful and they will do just about anything to please their customers. The meat, cheese, and bread are tasteful in their own sense. If you are a simple person who doesn't want to try delicious Italian food, then go to Subway. If you complain about the bread, ask Caputo's for their soft Focaccia bread. In closing, you have to realize that Caputo's isn't Subway or Blimpie in any way. They specialize in Italian foods and offer many varieties. It's pretty cool to be able to buy these types of imported items and even better is that these items though imported are priced very low with respect to the fact that they are imported. Great job Caputo's!

The only place I feel back in NYC. This is the only place in the Valley where I can find the real Italian food and cheeses I loved in NYC. Great sandwiches too!

Hearty Italian sandwiches and salads are the specialties of this traditional deli on Salt Lake City's west side.. The Scene
Set in the ground level of the renovated Firestone Tire building, Tony Caputo's traditional Italian deli is big, bright and slightly industrial looking, yet the atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant. Shelves are stocked with oils, vinegars, pastas and sauces, and the deli case is packed with fine cheeses, specialty meats and mouth-watering antipasti--perfect for a great take-out meal.

The Food
The menu boasts a variety of sandwiches, salads and desserts to eat in or take out. When tomatoes are in season, try the fresh mozzarella and tomato sandwich for a distinctly Italian taste. Or enjoy the Caputo: prosciutto, mortadella, salami, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes drizzled with oil and vinegar. The Vanocur salad is a great light meal: mixed greens and iceberg lettuce topped with tomato slices, olives, feta cheese and balsamic vinaigrette.

Caputo's. I cant believe people complain about the bread, its the best part. Their sandwiches are killer, I'll drive way out of my way to get lunch here.... if you get there at 11:00, you'll be the only one in line.
