Editorial Review for Iggy's Sports Grill – by Matt McNally
The Scene
What you'll notice here are the TVs. The collection of sets includes a 110-inch monster, the largest one you'll find at any Utah sports bar. Besides the sea of screens, you'll find a varied menu and an interesting collection of sports memorabilia.
The Draw
Feast on the prime rib special every Friday and Saturday or select from fish, salads, burgers, steak, sandwiches or pasta. All burgers are served with beer-battered fries. Treat yourself to the house specialty: A blackened beef patty prepared in a Jack Daniel's Dijon mustard sauce and topped with pepper jack cheese. Iggy's has a full bar in addition to beers on tap, which include its full-bodied Crimson Ale micro-brew. Bottled beers and wine are also served, and they'll even fill your growlers. Besides basic broadcasts, Iggy's features events ranging from lacrosse to auto racing.

Insider Tips
What to DrinkTry the micro-brew Hefeweizen with natural blueberries. Although tasty, it's definitely for the beer drinker with a sweet tooth.

The management (Brad West) doesn't give give a s*&% about their job. If you want to watch march madness this season don't go to Iggy's downtown. I can't believe there's no option on this rating to give no stars. First we had to close our tab and get up and move because during March Madness they turned off the game and had to show the Jazz game on every TV in the room. Don't get me wrong I love the Jazz, but IT'S MARCH MADNESS!! Then after we'd ordered from some other server at our new table they turned ALL the TV's to the Jazz again. Asking the manager was worthless. He basically insulted everyone at our table and told us we could move AGAIN or leave. We left and we're never coming back. My suggestion is go to the Skybox at the Gateway, Lumpy' s or Fiddler's Elbow. Watching the game in the TV section of RC Willy would be better.
Pros: none
Cons: Brad West

Upon entering the restaurant, my boyfriend and I were met with a blank stare from the hostess followed by a curt "How many?" She sat us at a table, threw the menus down and left. Not once were we approached by a waiter or busser and offered a drink. As we waited for someone to come take our orders, the tables to our sides and behind either one of us were offered at least minimal service, and finally after fifteen minutes of not ever being approached by a single employee, we left, having not been acknowledged by anyone. After leaving, I called the restaurant personally and asked to speak to the General Manager about our experience, when the hostess told me that he doesn't take phone calls during the lunch rush, and hung up. Being a GM (granted, of a retail store) myself, I consider myself to be extremely concerned with my customer's needs, and would never dream of declining to speak to a customer with an issue or concern regarding my business. I called back several minutes later and demanded to speak to the GM, lunch rush or not. She kept me on hold for 5 more minutes, until I just gave up and hung up the phone. I can't think of ever having received such a disgusting lack of service in my years of eating out. I will never return to this location again. I've gone to the location on 10600 South many times, and have always received superior service from an extremely friendly staff, but upon reading some other reviews, it seems that this location is in dire need of a change of management.
Cons: Service, management, attentiveness to customers
