Fun but not. If you want to have a good time and be served while you are doing so, don't go to squatters. I've been there a few times and have been utterly disappointed. The waiters/waitresses are oblivious to their responsibilities. For instance, after returning from a trip (which was ten minutes ago) I'm still upset because the waitress somehow did not know that she was supposed to remove my plate after I was finished. Then I had to sit across from my sexy date for 30 minutes looking over a plate of food that was average at best. The only reason I didn't leave is because I had invested time already. Don't go to squatter (name isn't worth capitalizing) you'll be disappointed.

Best Pub Food I've Had in Years & Good Service Too!. Had the absolutely awesome Nitro Smoked Porter and followed up with the Captain Bastard Oatmeal Stout that was okay, but didn't live up to the porter. For dinner I had the Squatter's Bourbon burger. It was one of the best burgers I've had in years. The beef they use was so flavorful it almost didn't need condiments. The patty was cooked exactly the way I requested and it was wrapped in a spent grain bun that took it to the next level. I had mine with the sweet potato fries that complimented the burger perfectly.

My wife had the Classic Burger and was just as thrilled with the flavor of the beef. Hers was also cooked just as she requested. She tried the garlic fries, which she didn't feel complimented the burger very well and next time she would opt for the plain steak fries.

The service was particularly good. My wife is a real water drinker and hates when her glass is dry. She never had to worry here. Every time the glass got about halfway down it was refilled.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the overall experience was absolutely fantastic. Just wish we lived close enough to make this a regular destination.

They kicked us out!. Last night @ Squatters downtown while at a non birthday birthday dinner one of the wait staff casually came by and announced to our party of 10 that we had 5 minutes until we had to leave because they had a private party coming in. They booted us out, didn't even have another option for us downstairs. Sorry that our party of 10 with a reserved table was not important. BOO SQUATTERS! You shouldn't have given us a table up there! Yes we had cashed out but most of us never even got the option of dessert and absolutely did not get the option to hang out and talk. We all spoke to the manager on duty and she was just casual about it all like it was a mild complaint about the food. Horrible!!! And the sad part is that the food was good. When we were kicked out there were still drinks on the table, no dessert menus were passed around and of course they waited until our tab was paid ($500-$600) before they gave us 5 minutes to get out. Never going there again!

Great atmosphere, good food, unimpressive service. I am a regular customer to Squatter's (about 3 times per month). I love how the place is set up and it is relaxing and comfortable. The beer is awesome but the menu is limited for my taste, so I usually end up getting a Reuben and onion rings-which is fantastic! The menu does have a wide variety of things, but most of it doesn't spark my interest. Friends of mine have liked whatever they have ordered, though.

The service is kind of sad. If there are more than thrity people in the restaurant, expect to wait 5-10 minutes just for someone to come take your drink orders. It is like they are constantly understaffed or something. When the restaurant is not busy, the servers are quick, friendly, and will chat with you.

Good Beer. I like this place. The food is a little over priced but the beer is worth the stop in!
