What a Joke. What a Joke. Over priced food, rude waiter and uppity hostess. We had reservations for 8 pm for six people and arrived a few minutes early, but one couple had to cancel. They said they could only seat us at corner booth, now. Cramped. I ordered Halibut. Took forever to get there (they were really cooking it). It was over cooked, almost charred on the bottom and required a forceful knife stroke the cut through (almost breaking the plate). Overall not a pleasant experience. I guess we weren't the privileged class, should have worn a tux. I will NOT again.

Not a family friendly restaurant!. We participated in a group celebration at Spencer's. It was a nightmare. The service did not arrive for at least 40 minutes after our orders were taken, despite our specifc request that the children be fed immediately. The staff only expediated the meals service following an altercation where another diner complained of the noise level and activity of the hungry, bored children attending the meal. At that point, the manager, after first taking care of his priority customer (clearly not us), stepped in and assigned another server to our room. Once received the food was extremely disappointing, over salted and over priced. This is not a family friendly place to celebrate. Go somewhere else!

What happened?. I use to eat at Spencers on a regular basis a couple of years ago and I always remeber the food being excellent. However I ate there last weekend and it was HORRIBLE... When our steaks first came out, they were cold, as well as the side dishes. Once we cut into the steak they were under cooked, so we had to ask the waiter to take them back and have them cooked a little longer (something I NEVER do!) When the steaks finally did come back out, close to 20 min later the steaks were cooked right, but were cold. I am not sure what happend to one of the best steakhouses in SLC, but I have to say I dont think I will be returning anytime soon>>

This place has really gone downhill recently. The steaks are way over priced for what your getting. I really don't believe they are prime like they claim. Ruth's Chris steaks next door, are way better. It used to be so good, I don't understand what happened. I'd definitely recommend Prime Steakhouse in Park City or Bambara around the corner on two-hundred street. The restaurant was empty and it still to ten minutes to get my martini, my steak was tough and gristly, it just seems like it has slipped in quality and consistency.
