Fish?. Market Street is a nice place for a seafood lunch and cocktail but social club? Hardly. Lots of business types discussing business.
EVERY YEAR IT JUST GETS WORSE. The food seem s to get worse and costs more every time I go here If it werent for others treating this place would be somewhere I would never go.I used to love this place but every year and i've been going there for 15 years it seems to get more expensive and the food gets worse and smaller portions.Drinking alcohol here will definately leave you broke 5.50 for a shot of Jager come on get real! Its Baci's with a different menu. WEAK
Oyster Mondays!.
.49 Oyster Mondays are the bomb! The "Hawks Point" are wonderfully tasty and so large you cannot eat one whole. The fresh cocktail sauce, horseradish, and vinegar are the perfect compliments. The oysters, the sourdough, the thick, rich, hearty, hot, homemade chowder is better than anywhere else, I guarantee it!
Dont miss the Sunday brunch either. fresh hot orange rolls, eggs bene' and bloody mary's!!!
Great Seafood, Great service. We have enjoyed the Oyster Bar for over 20 years and it has always been top drawer. We only wish that we could spend our Sat. afternoons there as we once did. That was always a special time for us in our busy lives and we miss it.
Great Place To Be Scene. I use to live in SLC and this place is the bomb! I recommend it to everyone who travels there.
Emril would be proud!. The food was delicious. I was pleased to get a real "drink", I really did'nt feel as if I were in Salt Lake. The vibe is great, it really makes you feel as if youre somewhere along the coast near San Fran!
Fishy. This is an exelent must eat at bar. Exelant food and superbed servise. Great atmosfere. A must go to Bar...
SAD but TRUE. The Oyster Bar used to be my favorite restaurant in Salt Lake City. Several years ago I used to eat there at least once a week. Sadly it is now a very poor restaurant. I'm not sure what happened but the quality of food dropped dramatically. The last few times I've had dinner there was the worst food I have eaten, and it isn't cheap. The food is less than mediocre. I have tried it several times thinking anyone can have an off night, but it has been consistently bad, and I won't be returning. I even contacted the manager who apologized and graciously sent me a renewal on my membership. I did try it once more but nothing had changed. The fish has been dry, the pasta cold, I could go on and on. Sad but true my favorite place has been scratched from my list completely.
Want fresh..go to Seattle. Having grown up by the sea and having worked in the food and wine industry for many years I may be a tad picky. But, just like the proverbial emperor, Gastronomy is wearing no clothes. Their knowledge of seafood is limited at best. I have found nematodes in their much bragged about Halibut (they are easy to remove if you just know where to look). They don't seem to be interested in rinsing their scallops (leaving a good dose of bitter tasting preservatives for the consumer to digest).
