The Scene
Multicolored streamers twirl from overhead ceiling fans, and bright Southwestern colors and patterns abound. Due to the loud buzz and large space this restaurant is known for, it's a great place for kids--no one notices when they're noisy. Parents can relax with a cool margarita.
The Food
The large menu appeals to those who want meaty Mexican food, like carnitas, as well as lighter, less traditional fare, like seafood pasta. The mahi mahi tacos with mango salsa (some assembly required), Baja rice and fresh veggies are light and refreshing. The Fiesta Grande early-bird special (available 4pm-7pm) is a veritable feast, with a pork tamale, two beef tacos, two cheese enchiladas, two mini-tostadas, one mini-chicken chimichanga, beans and rice. Finish with the Patron Cadillac margarita, made with the house's best tequila and a half shot of Grand Marnier.

Cafe Pierpont WAS amazing but, unfortunantly they are no longer open. I went there 2 weeks ago and they have shut their doors. Just an FYI.

I've been to Cafe Pierpont on several occasions and have not been disappointed. I love the Baja Combo. And all the different salsas are good too. Last time there was with a group and the staff was attentive, friendly and checked back often. I'll go back.
