A generic hotel bar with all the character of an RC Willey waiting room..
The Scene
Charlie's place seats about thirty people in a dim, aesthetically-void atmospherethe kind of ambience that makes use of candles, low tables, landscape paintings and a library-type hush. Don't expect to see any of the local ski types here, though you may find an East coast businessman or two recuperating from spills on the mountain. It's not that it's a bad place, reallyjust kind of soulless when compared to many of the bars in Park City that brim with local flavor.
What to Order
One of the greatest combinations around: $50 for a cheeseburger, fries and a bottle of Veuve Cliquot Brut champagne.
Know the Law
Charlie's Place is a private club, so a membership is required. If you're staying in the hotel, you're automatically a member. Otherwise it costs $5 for a temporary membership or $15 for a year.
