Great Indian Food. We ordered several different dishes, chicken kourma, chicken tikka, shrimp vindaloo and much more and it was all wonderful. The only thing I was not crazy about was the raitha, I've had much better.
Best Indian Food in SLC!. Royal India consistently has the best food and exceptional service. I go there often and I've never had a bad experience. The samosas are the best. When I haven't been to Royal India in a while I get such a craving!
Dining in India. I really enjoyed the food and ambiance however i found that at the end of the meal they were unclear about how it was you were to pay and mumbled. However I would reccomend going here for excelent food and pretty good service.
Favorite for Indian. The Lamb Coconut Korma and the Peshwari Naan are fabulous. This is a great place to bring friends. Service has always been top notch and the quality of the food is consisitent. Although it is quick enough to stop here before a movie, I like to come when I have time to relax and talk. I never feel rushed here.
best Indian. This is by far the best Indian resturant I have ever been to. I've been to many Indian resturants in Salt Lake and in other states and this is my favorite of them all. They are also very vegan friendly. The food there is fabulous and so is the service.
Savory Indian flavors and a comfortable atmosphere make this a gem at the valley's south end..
The Scene
Located in a nondescript strip mall, Royal India hardly looks like much from the outside. Step inside and you're greeted with the prickly scents of Indian cuisine. The décor is simple--not showy--and service is gracious.
The Food
Start out with samosa--a delicate deep-fried pastry filled with seasoned vegetables or a ground lamb mixture. The accompanying mint chutney is nicely spiced with jalapeños. Entrées include chicken, lamb, seafood or vegetarian selections. The rich, chicken saag combines spinach, onions, cream and spices into a silky blend. Keema mutter--an aromatic stew with ground lamb, green peas, onions and spices--is complex in its flavors. Daal maharini--lentils, onions and tomatoes cooked to a thick sauce--a delicious vegetarian selection. Don't forget to order plenty of naan, traditional Indian flat bread, essential for absorbing every last bit of delectable sauce.
Great Experience. This was wonderful, flavorful, fresh food. There was only one other table occupied when we got there, about 2/3 full when we left. Food was hot and fresh. Service was quick. Over all, a wonderful experience. Will definately go back.
Great Indian Food. The food at Royal India is excellent. The flavorful Saags and Kurmas are a favorite of my wife and I. The soups are very tastey and the appetizers also make a great start. And, if you save enough room for desert, the home made ice creams are wonderful!
My wife and I love this food. This is my family's all time favorite restaurant in Utah. I always know that I will get excellent service and excellent food.
For first timers !.
I am not very enthusiastic about trying new cuisines. But, fortunately or unfortunately my girl friend is. So, last friday when she said she wanted to go to Royal India, I was not very interested.
We told them that it was our first time & they took so much patience and explained all the dishes to us. To the top of it all, I loved the food. Good place to go. I highly recommend it !!
