no whining skiers. Snowbird is a top notch all around mountain. And, with Alta next door, there seems to be a better relationship between the skiers and snowboarders at the 'Bird than at some other mountains. Those skiers who are still clinging to the notion that all snowboarders are just punk troublemakers just keep going up the canyon. Those who are a little more up to date stop at Snowbird for some of the best snow/terrain combinations in the world. At the same time, it quickly becomes apparent to most that it doesn't really matter which tool you use to ride down, as long as you're courteous to others and enjoy yourself.

Great year-round destination. Everybody knows the skiing here is fabulous, but few people take advantage of the off-season setting. Rooms a Cliff Lodge are quite reasonable during the summer months and the views and hiking are worth the trip. The only real problem is that the dining options are not as great as they are in the wintertime.
