The Scene – La Caille exudes romance, with its winding brick drive, sweeping staircase, manicured gardens and rolling vineyards. – – The Food – The menu features French classics alongside contemporary creations--all exceedingly expensive. For appetizers, the escargots in herbed butter sauce are tender and delicious; oysters Rockefeller are plump and rich; and foie gras is flavorful, but could be silkier. Standout entrees include plump diver scallops balanced by a buttery white-wine sauce, and tender steak au poivre. Ahi tuna is beautifully prepared: served rare,…

we just had our daughters wedding and reception at la caille our wedding coordinater was mary she was very helpful with the planning but when it came to sampling the menu she basically absent. at the rehersal she seemed rushed and not caring. at the wedding she was very short and it almost seemed digruntled. she assured my daughter she would be there to insure that the night would go smoothly well mary dissappeared luckly leslie took over. She was the best she could not of been more helpful or more pleasant the staff was great too. there was one server who made everyone feel special. i dont know her name but she worked alot with the immediate family. the food was excellant and the service could not be beat. thank you leslie for all your help and thank you for being so pleasant you made the evening the best. I gave the rating a 4 because of mary take her out of the night and i would have to give it a 10

We did not see any

The food and service that our party recieved was not as bad as what is described in these posts. The menu could use some update, and the flavors could be improved, but we did not experience "moldy", "stale" or "stinky old" food that some of the other guests have descibed, nor did we see any strange creatures roaming the floors that some other patrons have mentioned. Therefore, we give it a 2.
We are mainly concerned with the prices that we paid for ho-hum dishes that had no flair or creativity.
Average price is about $200 per person........far too much for a "commoner" to pay unless everything is flawless. LaCaille is far from flawless. The service was O.K. and the lights were nice, yet not spectacular as in years past.
