Archibald's Restaurant

Love it--so awesome. We went to Archibald's yesterday and had a great lunch, fabulous fish and chips(halibut) and wonderful homemade soup and to top off a great lunch we were served free carrot cake for their birthday (homemade and the best I have ever eaten). Miss the old Archibald's. What happened to Archibald's? Dined there Monday Feb 23 and in the past they served good food at a reasonable price. Now prices have increased significantly and quality has dropped off the charts. Ordered Teriyaki Stir Fry with steak. Looked like they found a few scraps of beef and beef fat for starters then added thin sliced squash that was overcooked that went well with the al dante carrots and other veggies. Worst of all was the under cooked rice. Rice shouldn't crunch when eaten. Would have complained but as we don't intend to return what would be the point. This probably explains the nearly empty parking lot and restaurant.…

Mediocre food and terrible service.. I thought the first time were visited it was just a bad day. But the second time we still were served cold food, soggy salad with brown lettuce and prime rib that was ordered medium but served well done. The cheese sauce had a 'skin' layer as if it had been sitting for a long time. The baked potato was so cold the butter wouldn't melt. We were asked if we wanted another beverage after our meal was completed and glasses had been empty for 45 minutes. It took 2 hours from the time 4 of us sat down until we were brought a check.
