rockin place for your favorite music. As a gift this recent valentine's day I got 2 tickets to the Wailers for my husband. I've never been a reggae fan but he is so I thought I'd take one for the team. Once the tickets were purchased I found terrible reviews here for Harry O's and became concerned that I'd made a big mistake. By the show date T and I both decided, what the hell, let's give it a go. I'm so glad we did. Yes, there was a short wait outside in the cold but they got us in as quickly as they could. With the order of our first drink we found "Mik" to be very friendly and very attentive. Our observations of the rest of the bar staff was warm and not confrontational at all. I prefer listening to bands in an arena setting but wasn't terribly bothered by the other patrons stepping on me or being shoved into us. I definitely recommend this club and wish to add a thank you to "Mik" for his service and smile.…
Don't come here!!. After winning some tickets on the radio to go see Joan Jett and the Blackhearts I was excited to go to park city's Sundance and see a great artist. Only problem was that this concert was at a dump called Harry O's. I would recommend coming here if you want to get pushed around by BS security for doing nothing. Oh yeah, I’m sure you'll also love that every 30 seconds you're told to move to a different spot around the floor even though there is no room. A friend and I were told for the 10th time to move again and away from the bar right after spending about 30-40 bucks each on drinks and not even getting started with our new ones. Apparently guys aren't welcome around the bar however girls with no intention to spend were welcome with no problem. There is no re entry so sorry for all of you smokers. After the 3rd or 4th song we decided to leave after being completely annoyed by the employees and security. Everyone warned me about Harry O's but being a positive person I decided to try it and I’m bummed I did. Thank god I didn't have to pay for the tickets otherwise this review would be much worse. All said and done I would never in my life time recommend that you come here or pay to visit. This place gives a bad rep on Utah for all of those visiting.…
A poor man's LAX.... Harry O's has awful security, Poor VIP area for the price. The positives are the house DJ Brisk, Sound system, dance floor is relatively large and the stage is a good size. Love the VIP loft and bar but they need more tables and seating up there. Overall Harry O's reminds me of a broke version of LAX in Las Vegas, but this is Utah so it's the best we got!…
What a rip off!. I never write reviews but this place was running such a racket I had to. We bought 100 dollar concert tickets to see The Cult. Took the shuttle like the park city website suggested and got there at 8pm like the tickets said. They would not even open the doors until 9 and it was freezing outside. Then they let people in 1 and 2 at a time for hours. We got in and wanted a seat so they charged us an extra 200 dollars for a VIP seat which was a roped off area to the side. ( we knew it was a rip off but hey, we wanted to see the show and not stand for 3 hrs. ) The Cult did not come on until 11.45 pm. The last shuttle left at 12:05 so we had to take a taxi the 6 miles down for 25.00. They ripped you off everytime you turn around and I hear that is "just how they do things." I call it a Sleazy way to do business and they should be shut down. Harry o's = world famous for sleaze! This was during the Sundance Film festival and the whole city is taking advantage of everyone. No one will talk to you unless you pay them and it is a bunch of self important people with clipboards trying to make a fast buck. My first and last trip to Sundance and Harry o's.…
Best Nightclub in Utah!.
The reviews are pretty harsh and some very exaggerated. UT is not known for good clubs, at least dance clubs. Most of the clubs in SLC are full of trash, staff and bouncers are a bunch of idiots. We
love to party and dance, Harryos is by far the best place in UT to do so. I have never been treated poorly at the door. Don't be a punk and they will treat you just fine. Don't expect them to be your best friend. These guys deal with a lot of idiots during the night. So forgive them if they check you ID and send you on your way.
Moving to the bartenders. I have only had one treat me poorly but I don't think he is there anymore. They are quick with the drinks. Like normal park city prices are higher then in SLC. Usually 5 tall drinks with Belvedere vodka and side car run about $55. (Yes, they still do sidecars but more in a side drink style. Same price though).
The sound system is awesome DJ Brisk on Sat nights really gets that place going. The dance floor IS NOT all VIP. A portion of it is but still plenty of room to dance and have a good time. Pretty big place but its true unless VIP nowhere to sit. This being the nature of most clubs this style. In Vegas not VIP, nowhere to sit. Manhattan, LA, Miami, same story. You want to sit and talk go to a lounge.
As far as the crowd goes, over the winter its a different crowd every night. You'll have your usual locals, but there are so many people in town skiing. You want to dance and unwind after a day on the slopes go to Harryos. Over the summer its a different story. Fri nights are usually dead, but they get some great headliners in on Fridays. Don't expect them to come on stage until at least 11:30. Sat nights are usually the night to go over the summer.
VIP service is reasonable for Utah. Worth it if you want to be treated like a king for the night.
Harryos is full of beautiful people and great music. Worth the drive up from SLC, Prov, or Ogd. If you're in town and want to meet people. Check it out most def.…
