The Scene
Shopping at Cahoots is kind of like experiencing the entire movie rating system all at once. This seems strangely appropriate since the store is located right next to the Tower Theatre. You'll find everything from G-rated candy to X-rated sex toys. Are those options a little extreme for you? No problem. The PG-rated cards and R-rated books are perfect alternatives.
The Goods
The majority of the store is devoted to cards, wrapping paper, picture frames, journals, candles, gifts, novelty items, candy, party supplies, gay and lesbian books and cards. Walk into the small adults-only room tucked away at the back and the first thing you'll notice is the wide selection of lubricants. If you can't find a lubricant to suit your needs, then you're just too picky. And while Cahoots has a reputation for selling risqué gifts, you can still bring your grandmother here without fear.

Party StuffThis probably isn't the first place you think of for party supplies, but where else can you find a three-layer birthday cake that dances and sings?
Park ItStreet parking on 900 South can be tight, but not bad if you don't mind walking a block or two. There's a handful of parking spaces behind the store--enter on 900 East behind the dry cleaners.

Cahoots is a great place to shop if you are not sure what you're looking for. They have unique cards and all sorts of gifts. The staff is friendly, but regulars will miss the days when Casey, Ryan and Nate were there. The place still has it's share of cute staff, but it is no longer the cool hangout that it once was.

This is where you go to get gifts for a bachelor/bachelorette party or stock up on humorous cards and gifts. The people working the counter pretty much leave you explore the store by yourself, but if you ask for assistance, they're more than willing to help. It's a great place to find unique and inexpensive gifts or stocking stuffers. You can find nice holiday cards here, but it's not the kind of stationery store where you'd look to have your wedding invitations engraved.
