Bad food, Terrible Serivce, Incompentant Managment.
The hamburger was cooked beyond well done, the waiter refused to do anything about it, the edamame tasted stale, the sushi was terrible and came out wrong and again the waiter refused to help, we contact management who just stared at us like a deer in headlights, refused to do anything. we ordered four different dishes one was worse than the next. we tried to get the check and had to practically walk out for someone to notice us. the waiter never came over not when we asked, not to fill water, not to check on us nothing. what's worse is that this restaurant use to be good years ago. now its terrible. if you eat here you have no taste buds and like to be treated poorly.

So glad they are back on line!.
I love this place! The Blind Dog has recently reopened in a new location that has a similar comfy feel but has an even better, integrated dining experience with both the restaurant and sushi menus available at the same time. I have been coming to the Dog for several years and can always count on having comfort food that is a step above (Kobe beef sliders with spicy ketchup - are you kidding?!?) and sushi that is fantastic. Tonight I had a marlin (kajiki) carpaccio with black sea salt and capers that was amazing by any sushi standard. Also had some oysters - I won't even attempt the Japanese name here - that rival any I have had on either coast. I can always count on seeing other folks I know (that have also been coming for years) and being entertained by the bar staff or the owners' irreverent humor. Give this place a shot if you like quality comfort food, steaks, sushi or seafood.

Over Rated and Over Priced.
Service was sloooow. After 35 minutes, our food finally arrived, the IKURA rolls did not taste fresh and presentation was simple. Our ale was room temperature. We will not return this ski season and do not recommend Blind Dog.

Cosmopolitan!.
I find the Blind Dog ambiance something normally found in a large city. The food Chef Penny Kinsey provides is always excellent. Presentation is an art. At times the service is not always what you want, but if you are looking for a relaxed evening, this is the place. I have always found the staff more than accommodating. The bar area is delightful and the sushi bar is a WOW! Great wine list and cocktails. I regularly find it at the top of my dining decision list.

Elegance with Personality.
I spend my life on travel and it is always a pleasure to return to the BDG where the food is delightful and more importantly the hospitality is warm. From seafood to steaks in the main dining room, to fantastic sushi in the sushi bar, the menu is exciting. I sometimes make a meal in itself from just the appetizers while trying the ever changing soup du jour. An exceptional wine list, full service bar, and a great selection for the beer snobs (me). The families long experience in the business is evident in their friendliness and attention to every detail, especially a devotion to cleanliness. Look for me having returned from another long tiresome journey gathered with old friends, making new acquaintances, or having a quiet dinner with my wife as we continue to enjoy the BDG.

A Bit Inconsistent.
Having been there several times, I must say that the service has been less than good. One time I sat there for 30 minutes and finally left after not even getting a glass of water. Other times the service has been good to less than average. The food is generally quite good, but I think it is over-priced. Parking can be a challenge during the busy season.

An amazing dining experience.
The Blind Dog is a restaurant of international quality with a warm and friendly ambiance. The food is nothing short of remarkable. They have a renown wine list, the most delicious cocktails that is complimented with warm, friendly service. My favorites are the shrimp/lobster egg rolls and their infamous crab cakes. Chef Penelope Kinsey has created an incredible menu that can delight any palate. It's a dining experience to remember! And by the way, the sushi is the best!

Disappointed!.
Tried BDog during our 01/2005 ski trip but was disappointed by the food and management! We ordered their famous crabcake, lobster/shrimp eggrolls and sushi. In the eggroll I didn't taste lobster or shrimp, mostly veggies - not memorable. The crabcake appeared nicely browned but inside it was cold. Apologies given by the waitestaff and another crabcake, again dark brown on the outside but cool inside. I think they used the same oil to fry with which was causing the "cooked" appearance but underdone inside. We tried salmon and tuna nigiri and Jollyrancher roll nothing spectacular. We were disappointed that the manager didn't come over to offer us anything for the crabcake like a comped dessert, drinks or anything. The waitstaff was good but if you want repeat business then the manager apologizes and offers a comp. Especially since this was their "famous" crabcake.
I don't recommend Blind Dog Grill.
